The one thing I know about business is money isn't the whole picture.

You have to have a combination of a coach being pretty unhappy where he is, coupled with the right culture fit and relationships, respect for the guy he's going to work for and then yes of course the money. 

See the guy who left us.  Beard obviously isn't unhappy in Oxford and neither was Tang at KSt. 

That points to Wade being the guy.  If we can't get Wade we might as well burn the program down.

I will have to say watching this makes me respect Broyles.  He had the respect of the coaching profession.  Yurachek is an administrator first and he obviously can't connect with these guys like Broyles did.

Is there another job in the SEC that current SEC coaches would leave for besides Kentucky, assuming all SEC schools would be fairly competitive on pay? I know Mike white left Florida for Georgia but his seat was probably getting hot. Doesn't seem like this has happened very often in the past, but could be forgetting. I mean Florida has the most recent natties besides KY, but I just don't see one being a greater allure over the other in basketball, including Arkansas. 

Obviously Mike left Missouri for here, but I mean without some other endearing type scenario.

We did pretty much postpone our own entry into the big league NIL game. We also proved that we can pay a coach Top-10 money.

You don't get into a bidding war with someone like Ole Miss not because we can't out spend them. We simply won't and it's been proven time and time again. Better to navigate around those waters when possible. Otherwise you risk being seen as an equal to them or worse Mississippi's prison bitch. We should never be competing with them for a head coach in a major sport. Even Frank fucked around and found that out when trying to hire Tuberville away from Ole Miss.

lot of people calling those guys out for that bullshit. No way 30% of the fan base wanted him gone. The fans might not have wanted to sit thru a shit season and go to the games and support a team that gave little or no effort but overall Muss quit us not the other way around. Also those guys apparently know about all the butt stuff drama going on.

Stayed out of Nolan's and McDonald's way, but you would think he would be better at picking foitball coaches.

Other colleges have done pretty good at picking coaches without being a former college head football coach.

To that point I do believe HY had to know Muss was one foot out the door. The guy phoned it in most of the season. Surely he was putting out some feelers. Don't tell me we are waiting on Keates or something like that

A little surprising Tang has a 6 million buyout. Meanwhile, Muss has a 1 million to leave on his own, but 6 million to fire him( or something like that's been posted). AND, we can't afford to fire our football coach. Definitely sounds like there is some dumbassery going on with our AD and not inspiring much hope that he will not F this up.

That's an interesting thought. Had a good 3 years at UNC-W.  Hasn't lit the world on fire in the ACC, but that's tough to do at NC State. Obviously got hot at the right time this year, but was still sub .500 in conference.

I bet the only game of ours these dudes saw was Duke. They didn't see all the others where we played like crap and looked like we didn't give a shit. Muss and the team gave up LONG before any of fan's gave up on them.

The Ole Miss that kept Tuberville (for one year) after our committee refused to hire him was not the same program they have today. 

That was back when they still knew their place at the bottom of the league.
