I played in the first game when NLRHS re-unified for Catholic my Soph year, a year or two behind their new head coach Richard Cochran.  Really curious to see how he does, he will never leave there if they're winning.

Catholic came down and destroyed Fort Worth Nolan Catholic, which usually is very competitive in TAPPS Div I (Texas private schools).  Fairly certain it's the largest private school in Tarrant County (or used to be).

Good to see you post again.
The very pants I was returning.

Quote from: The Whyte Boar on Sep 21, 2024, 10:54 AMYeah, I don't know, spotting someone 21 points and then beating them is pretty convincing.  I know it hurts.  It goes down better if you just accept it.

And it is fucking criminal that Arkansas is letting Tradarian Ball go to Oregon.  That kid should be all hog.   He has been the best player on the field in every game since he started as a freshman.

Texarkana kids are hit or miss on coming to Arkansas. LaMichael James went to Oregon, so did Tra Carson, then ended up at A&M. Most of Texas High's best athletes over the years went to Texas (Nathan Vasher, Nate Jones, etc.) Mallett grew up here so that's why he wanted to be a Hog. Landon Jackson went to LSU first, his brother is going to Texas.

I'm pretty sure T. Ball is from Ashdown originally.  And that's thr point, it shouldn't be hit or miss.  Texarkana is a Razorback town.  GET THOSE FUCKING KIDS!

Doc Hogaday

We got COBI but seems like his parents had ran track at UA.
Pants ironed and back for more

I played in that game too. My team lost.

Thanks, life kind of took over and I've been slammed at home and work.

Elkins may go 20-0 this year and claim the intergalactic title.

They are for sure going 10-0 heading into playoffs, and they already eviscerated Warren at a neutral site. I don't see anyone in 4A touching them this year. There isn't a Pulaski Academy/Shiloh/Harding Academy waiting in the wings. Maybe Mills but I don't think Mills is good enough to beat them, certainly not at Elkins or a neutral site.

Yeah, they might slip up, but just looking at the schedule, I don't see anyone that SHOULD beat them, which is crazy considering what the lost off the team from last year

Lost a lot from last year AND the starting QB has not played a down this year. Got a knee in practice before the first game   and had surgery and is done for the year, which sucks for him because he's a senior and a good kid. Next QB up is a junior.

Just looked at NLR's schedule, what a collapse without Bolding (and he's winning big at PV of all places)

Yeah and Mitchell and Eldridge took them to five straight 7A title games from '16-20. Won it all in '17.

This is the worst the program has been since the early 2000s with Greg Burl.

It is hard to overstate just how bad the Football program at Rogers Heritage is.  Here is the record since the school began:

year    overall        conference

08     3-7              0-6

09     9-3               5-2

10     4-7               2-4

11     1-9               0-7

12     7-4               4-3

13     5-6               3-4

14     4-8               2-5

15     0-10              0-7

16     1-9               1-6

17     1-9               1-6

18     0-10              0-7

19     0-10              0-7

20     1-10              0-7

21     0-10              0-7

22     3-7               1-6

23     1-9               0-7

They are 40-128 overall and 19-91 in conference games.

They haven't won a game this year and won't. Feel bad for the kids and coaches.  Not sure what you do for this.

BleedinRed

Are they in the lowest classification?  If so, may want to just shut it down.

I assume you mean the highest? Yes they are 7A and at this point shutting it down is probably the best bet. Either that or completely rezone Rogers and make it to where kids aren't universally wanting to go to Rogers High and level out the playing field.

Spiderham

Good God, NLR is terrible.
PA leading the cowering mildcats 41-0 second quarter.

Does Rogers Heritage play NLR?  Might be an ugly but competitive game.

NLR would mercy rule Heritage
