Elkins (9-0) and Southlake (10-0) should both cap off undefeated seasons as both have final games against really crappy teams and go into the playoffs undefeated.

Elkins has a chance to win state, but likely won't.  Southlake most certainly will not win state as they are 5th in their class, but 37th nationally

Southlake (11-0) wins  first round playoff game 63-7 and moves on to face Frienship (10-1) in the next round.

Elkins (11-0) wins over Central in their first round playoff game 52-6 and moves on to face someone in the next round.

Southlake will likely run into a team with way more "raw talent" or "speed" and good coaching later in the playoffs and lose.

Elkins probably SHOULD win state in 4A, but likely won't because...Elkins.

They've got Mena this week, probably Malvern on Black Friday. Looking like a collision course with either Mills or Warren in the semifinals and then Arkadelphia most likely in the title game.

They beat Warren 49-14 earlier in the year, but it was early so it likely doesn't mean much now. 

They likely SHOULD win state in 4A...but likely won't.

Mena and the next round are home games for Elkins. They'll probably get through those two. The Mills or Warren game will be an away game. They embarrassed Warren are Ark Tech the third game of the season and probably had 28 of the 49 points scored  on turnovers. Elkins is down a couple of starters from that game that hopefully won't hurt them. They played great Friday night but this time of year the talent is better every week. Go Elks!

IF they play Warren again it will be at Warren and it will be a payback type game for them. Will be hard to beat them at home. Hoping Mills beats Warren.

How does the home/away thing work?  Elkins is undefeated and already beat them and his higher ranked.  Is it just alternating or something?

I think they go by regions when it comes to seeding at that round. Rotated year to year. If Elkins makes it to Warren, I'll have to go to that one.

Remember Elkins mercy ruled Daranelle. Warren is one seed in the 8-4A and in the same bracket as Elkins. It's their conference's year to be on top of the bracket.
