Maybe we should've tried to unintentionally intentionally walk him that time.

Feral

Okay we've had our fun.

Let's just lose today and tomorrow and get home early to rest up for the regional.

Gambler

I notice a lot of SEC teams have some big old boys hitting HRs. We don't have any.

BASS

Had diggs stared at a first pitch strike in every at bat this season? Seems like it.

#104
Bottom of the ninth. Obi Won is our only hope.

Diggs leads off. Watches strike one down the middle. And strike 2. Grounds out to second. 1 away.

Stovall singles on a ground ball to second. Nice stop, but no one covering first. 1 on.

White singles to left. Runners at first and second. 1 out.

McLaughlin singles to left center. Run scores. 6-5. Runners at first and second, 1 out.

Aloy up. Wilmsmeyer running for McLaughlin. Aloy grounds to third. The throw goes to second for the force, runner safe at first. The slide at second is being discussed and is under review.  After review, the slide is ruled good and the runner at first is confirmed safe. Runners at the corners, 2 outs.

J SLott flies out to center.

We lose 6-5. Let's just call it and head home.
Well, shit...

Thank JFB our joggernut offense has the hammer.

BASS

Their ss shifts for a lefty, we hit it right to him for an out.

Our ss shifts for a lefty, they hit it where he used to be for an RBI.

Sounds about right.

The announcer gave us a lot of credit for finding ways to win. Lately, we've been finding ways to lose.

We're now 10-10 in road and neutral games. That won't cut it if we get past next weekend.

wasn't saying it was bad.  It was funny as diggs about passed him.

If White had looked at his base coach instead of watching the ball, he would have been on 3rd with Aloy up and scored the tying run on the force out.  Nate was windmilling like a motherfucker trying to get him to keep running.  Hudson never saw him.

I was doing something else and heard that more than saw and didn't see Thompson but seeing the hit out of the corner of my eye I thought it was deep enough for a hustling runner to get within 90 feet.

Kinda like I said before, we're finding ways to lose that we had been finding to win.

Hopefully it will turn back around if guys lock back in next week. I'm sure that as much as they may try to push they know as well as we do that they've done what they need to get a top 8 spot.

The live broadcast didn't show it...all they showed was a throw coming into second with White standing there.

A later replay from above 3rd base showed it pretty clearly.  Both runners paused for a second to let the ball get through (as they should have), Stovall found Nate and kept running.  White's eyes were on the ball with the play in front of him.  He stopped at second, even though the throw came back to that base.  Unless he fell down halfway between the bases he could have made it to third easily.

Not getting too worked up about it though.  I'd just as soon drop one tomorrow and get back to Fayetteville healthy and well rested.  This tournament is useless for teams in our position. The only real concern is that Kentucky is probably looking at it the same way.  Someone has to win.

Just heard that Smith is confirmed by DVH to start tomorrow.

So we might win one.

Oof. That's a horrendous stat.

So, we play tomorrow at 9:30AM? If so, I will not be available for PBP.

That is correct. I'm in California until Saturday and generally able to watch but I can't guarantee I will be awake early enough to handle PBP.
