I admit I could probably be labeled a Tiger lover. I just find it amusing how the WooPig masses complain about Tiger getting all the coverage, but 7 out of the 7 posts today in the US Open thread were about Tiger.

Well, this post is definitely not about Tiger.  Scottie is definitely a little off today.  He usually hits fairways and greens.  He's pulling his drives to the left today, and rarely on the green in regulation.  Working his ass off to get up and down for pars.

I like tiger. But I also realize how over the top the media and some fans are and it's annoying. And he's not as good as he used to be and he'll miss the cut like he has most of the time since 2010.

I will admit enjoying watching him struggle because I know at least the weekend coverage won't be overrun.

And for the record, I was replying. Your Tiger post count is about as credible as his "record" made cuts streak back in the day.

HE is less unlikable to me now, and I certainly look back and fully appreciate seeing that level of dominance (I'm too young for most of Jack's days). But the constant sugarcoating now on his behalf is probably more grating than the constant praise back then.

It was obvious he was struggling with his irons this morning but no one would come out and say it. They atta-boyed his long lag putting after squirrelly approaches and some early par saving putts.

At least today we didn't have to wince watching him hobble like he has been.

Him putting, him hitting iron shots, showing his score, how many greens he hit, etc. He was EIGHT shots off the lead, in 167th place, but they pumped him up. They barely mentioned the guy who had 2 eagles, 1st time that had happened at the US Open in 20 years.

Notah Begah was saying it. I specifically heard him talk about his irons letting him down and all flailing to the right when Tiger was on that bogey run.

Scheffler is struggling (by his standards).  Schauffle and McIlroy, not so much.  Think the scores will go up this afternoon as the course dries out more and gets faster.
