They were talking about this dude on the radio this morning. It appears he was fighting our fans on Dickson.

I think it is safe to say that we have a nice staff.....Petrino just does an immaculate job of placing our kids in uber positions to be successful....Jackson is a tremendous back...great vision...more physical than Alex Collins, but not as quick with the feet or hip swivel......And that Russell kid is just a beast...Williams has done a great job with getting the kids to buy in...schematically, as well as belief...the front seven play hard and are down hill......

Again,

Green completes 55-60% of his passes, and we can play with anyone...

I suspect he will never return to Fayetteville.

He fucked around and found out.  I hope he had to go to work with his bloodstained face .

I will say this.  I hope fucking Preston Watts is suffering more in hell.  I hope Danny Rhodes and other great players who suffered that horrible 71 season, who then had that Liberty bowl stolen from them get a bit of satisfaction.

Based on Yuri's comments I think Sam is back next season.

I don't think we need Yurachek or anyone else to comment to know that coming into the season, 6-6 or better is a bowl and retained, 5-7 or worse is fired. Still to be determined, but certainly looking better.

Sam basically won the game he needed to have the inside track on a bowl game. If he blows it vs La Tech or Miss St and we miss a bowl, then all options are back on the table.

At the end of the day, HY is still the AD and part of his job is standing by the coach until the moment before he fires him.

Personally, I'm frustrated that the excitement about beating #4 at home in a big night game is reduced to "we're probably going to a bowl!" You'd think a win like that would carry much bigger implications for our program, but we've fallen very far in 12 years.

Yeah we're not likely going to drop to 4-7 and 5-8 is mathematically impossible so any buy-out won't be discounted.

So we may as well win the whole fucking thing.

Agreed. This team going 6-6 and going to a shit bowl is a failure.  This defense should steal an extra win or two if offense stupidity, bad coaching decisions, or dumb penalties don't kill us.

Sam cannot change.  BMFP will stay but TWill is likely gone. I don't like that prospect.  Sam needs to evolve from CEO coach to remote CEO coach.  Stay in hot springs for games. Let the c's run their games.  Watch some Netflix.

I'm disappointed no one picked up on my comments about fucking Preston Watts.  You've never seen a sec rep fucking like that one.  Rhodes and ther players supposedly chased him out of the stadium.

Penn Wagers and Jason Autrey say hey.

They were mere amateurs compared to fucking Preston Watts.

It's because while we still feel the exuberance of the win, we know all too well that Sam has a penchant for fucking something like this up and not keeping his team focused.

My mind goes back to 2022. Going into week 10 we were 5-3 coming off wins at BYU and at Auburn. We then stumblefuck our way to a loss against Liberty, and end the season losing 3 of our last 4, only making a bowl game because we somehow managed to summon the give-a-shit to jump all over Ole Miss.

Sam's almost worse than Nutt in his penchant for beating teams he shouldn't and losing to teams he shouldn't because he overlooks games. Hell, he overlooked UAB and they're an absolute dumpster fire.

I'm glad we have a bye week this week to calm our asses down and refocus on our next opponent, otherwise we'd have absolutely lost to LSU in a classic letdown situation.

I'm not so sure that the bye week is a good or bad thing.  Almost feels like the guys now have enough time to forget how to win.

Of course, if Green is going to be out it does give Singleton some much needed prep and practice with the 1s.

The Whyte Boar

Yeah, I'm glad for the bye and rhe next game being LSU.  Hard to overlook them.  Now, my prediction is that we beat LSU, get ranked, and lose by two touchdowns to MSU.

Meh, the bye comes at a good time so the team can get refocused. They're going to have people kissing their asses all week and telling them how great they are.

Plus, to your point, the good thing about the bye is that it either gives Green time to get healthy or Singleton reps with the 1s.

I love my Tennessee classmates. I have a biennial recertification that I always take with one of them. Trying to work out the logistics this week.
