It sets up perfectly to do our Jekyll and Hyde act from week to week.

Ole Miss -- L. Back down again after a win.

La Tech - W. It's La Tech, and it's bowl eligibility.

Texas - L. Please.

Mizzou - W. They suck. Plus we're due. Plus we are having a roller coaster season.

7-5.

BleedinRed

Hogs win 3 of the last 4.  My guess is we drop the Ole Miss game.

That has us 8-4.

I predicted 10-1

Maybe we catch Ole Miss and end 9-3.

Texzilla

Klan.  Loss
LT.  W
Sips. Loss
Mizzou. Loss

6-6.  Sam gets a cheapshit bowl and probably another year.

2025.  Same deal.  It's Groundhog Day.  It's fucking eternal

Pumpkin Escobar

I predicted 7-5 and I think we still get there. I think we beat La Tech and split with Meth Aggy and Teh Klan.
An rud nach leigheasann im ná uisce beatha níl aon leigheas air.

HogOfWar

Ole Piss Loss
Texass ??? (Probably a loss)
Ruston U win
Misery win (should be, but who knows)

7-5 with not quite a shitty bowl, but one we should win, but will lose. GVN and all that.
The dildo of consequence, rarely arrives lubed.

I'm still 7-5.  I'm not changing based on beating a shitty team I thought we'd beat.

Edit: Apparently in the prediction thread I voted 6-6.  My reasoning was actually 4 non-conference wins, Mississippi State, and then Auburn or Mizzou.  Now I think we beat La Tech and Mizzou to get to 7-5.  "We're goin to a bowl!"

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

I think pretty much where I am.

I'm not sure even Pittman can lose to Tech.

I think we go 1-2 in our last conference games. Who knows what the 1 is. We generally play well against Ole Miss but we're coming off a win so it's probably a loss. Texas is good but getable. We always find a way to lose to Mizzou.

I'd be happy with 7-5 however we get there given how shitty last year was and how bad we all thought this year would be.

mde114

I have to say, Hogs have surpassed my expectations this season. I think they can beat everyone left on the schedule but Texas. Probably go 2-2. Not a bad year.

vegashog

not sure how anyone that has watched texass the last two weeks thinks that game is an automatic loss.

We are on the tail end of the upper teams in the SEC!  I seent it!
Splash 11! drop ABE track, too confusing

Papa Pigeritus

It's hard as hell to predict the outcome of any game in the Sam Pittman era.

The only thing we can truly predict is that we'll be in a position to beat Texas and/or Ole Miss and end up shitting the bed.

Probably Texas because that's the one we hate the most.

The Whyte Boar

If Sam stays true to form, bet the house that Ole Miss makes us look silly.

Yes I believe we have a good shot. It can be set up for a nice ranked match if we can beat Ole Miss and La Tech I think they'll have to put us in at around the low 20s in the rankings. Would be a prime time matchup.

Unlike the last time Sark brought a team to RRS I don't think he'll be unprepared this time. I think Texas will be dialed in and ready to trade paint.

The way we were cycling backups in and out on defense yesterday even early in the game kind of told me what this staff thought about Miss State. They expected to win that one going away. We should be fairly "fresh" for Ole Miss.

The guys on the Solid Verbal podcast were talking in depth about this before they played Georgia, but basically Texas played the worst offenses in the country thus far (excepting Georgia), with Mississippi State being the best power conference offense they've played thus far.

Outside of Georgia, here's the total offense ranking of each of their opponents so far:

UTSA - 54th
Mississippi State - 78th
Colorado State - 84th
Vanderbilt- 94th
Michigan - 118th
La Monroe - 130th
OU - 128th

How the hell is the Ole Miss game an 11am kick?

The Whyte Boar

This team is good enough to win out.  It won't but we could win every single game on there.

This is where I am at but I wouldn't be shocked if we beat UT either.

Something I've wondered lately, is there any chance Pittman would retire this year due to health? He's really struggling with his hip. At his weight that has to be pretty painful. If he has surgery, he would be out of commission for a while which is almost impossible in today's coaching world. He's always said he would like to get us back to a respectable program and hand over the keys to someone. Now may be that time.

DrMongoose

The most Arkansas thing would be to beat teasip and lose to methouri while needing OT to beat Tech - ole miss not sure.

One possibility to fully assure a backdoor method of getting Petrino back in the big chair without going thru a huge rehire process is to let Pittman go on leave and along about August Oh Shucks he's not coming back and then Petrino is hired as the interim replacement. From what I know about hip replacement is this isn't something you just get over in a short period of time...that's like a 3 month minimum down time and probably longer in rehab. At his age that's pretty much gonna end his career as an on field coach or at least put in jeopardy.

Another thing to watch for: If we finish strong this season Petrino will be desirable to a good many programs. OU will likely clean house so who know what happens with that. Florida could be making moves. In the NIL era we're now looking at a scenario where Petrino goes he could take the QB he's polished up for a year with him...

I hope I'm wrong but I have no confidence in Petrino ever being our head coach again.  We're more likely to give that spot to a guy who has zero head coaching experience.
