I'm going with C as KJ.

KJ had a 26% Sack/Pr% (bad). The 8% guy is the Boise State QB in the portal that we are looking at suggesting he moves well in the pocket and has escape ability. Obviously against SEC defenses he aint doing 8% without getting behind the Bama/Gerogia level of holding.


I'm wondering if we are also looking at Jordan McCloud formerly of JMU (12.5% sack/pr, put up large numbers as a senior. 

KJ not into the portal just yet kinda suggests he may be considering coming back IF we can fix some need positions (OL, RB, WR)...but they are apparently looking at experienced QBs nonetheless.

Ford made the point that Dubinion could play the Ronnie Wingo role, but I don't think I see that. Augustave should be a great fit, possibly the next Knile, and we have a 4-star coming in. The room should look better with a better scheme.

Dubinion regressed bigly this season but may have been due to injury and the fact that the O Line was a bag of dicks. All I know is in light duty Augustive came in and ran hard and gained yards behind the same line that the other guys kept finding spots on the turf to lay down on.

TLDR highlights:

Still working my way through Adam's latest and greatest.  A few of things I struggle with.  First, how did what by his estimates indicate a very mediocre class reconcile with the extraordinary performances against Purdue and Duke.  Second, the locker room issues that have become very apparent.  Third, Chandler Lawson.  In both the Purdue and Duke games, he was fantastic.  Otherwise, not so much. 

I wanted to bring this back up top as I'm very interested in the "what do we do next year?" from his perspective and from the great knowledge we have here.

Purdue you can just toss out. It was real to us damn it is not an excuse for the fact that the players on the court damn well knew they weren't real bullets. Purdue sure looked like it gave a fuck about the game but in the end the way the game was officiated and overall it didn't count and cannot be accounted for in any form or fashion.

The Duke game...simply put Duke has lost a few of this season namely on the road to teams that in years past wouldn't have been Ls and lets face it...the new coach isn't Coach K. They aren't getting the calls and no-calls. Duke's slide has probably already begun. 

In our best performances on the season we lost 3 of 4 of them and that simply cannot happen. That's a difference between maybe being a bubble team or not. If we're sitting at 19 wins right now...we're probably not in but we would be telling ourselves a couple wins in the SECT may be enough.


Were do we go from here? That's a tough one to answer. I don't recall our freshman crop last season lingering too long to make decisions on their NBA future. Ford didn't hold onto that point but he basically said most of these guys came off the portal board quickly. If we dicked around on not knowing who was coming back that could explain a few things but mostly I think it comes down to shit recruiting and/or not having the NIL money to throw down. I kinda feel like we've been making that mistake of either not retaining guys that could be developed into the program or not cutting bait quick enough and loading up soon enough. This is why evals have to be on the nuts and I mean RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Russians don't take a dump without a plan. We'll we sure looked like the keystone cops last time in the offseason portal. We were signing guard after guard and everyone we wondering where the athletic bigs and slashers were? We're still waiting. Yes we needed point guard help but that didn't mean sign 4 point guard of which none can play the position.
