I'm still on the East Coast (Palm Beach County) and shouldn't get much above Tropical Storm winds. But they just adjusted the forecast track more south, so I'm staying on my toes.

I'm REALLY concerned about the Tampa - St. Pete area. They are going to get a direct hit this time. The glancing blow from Helene was bad enough.


Oh and whoever said it's too late for a hurricane is off base.  The season "officially" goes until November 1 and there is almost always the most activity from mid-September to mid-October.

My house in WPB got hit in December of '05. I had just moved to Cleveland in November and was 2 weeks away from closing. October is still peak hurricane season.
