I used duck tape to seal off my doors in true FL man fashion. Luckily we only got a few feet of surge.

"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Very!  And it wasn't even surge, just flooding from the 12-14" of rain we got overnight.  I still don't have power though, so going to give it another day before heading back south.

Marck recycling center. That thing burned for hours, huge plume of black smoke spreading out all over Benton county.

It was 36 here this morning.  Felt great.  Think it will be back to the mid 80s next week though.

Was 68 when I left work yesterday.  Was 100 the day before.

We will be in Estes Park later next week.  Hope the cold weather sticks around!

I'm a big fan of the snow.  It is pretty.  Also, I want to see something other than Golden.

there should be plenty of elk roaming the streets this time of the year. Bit too late for leaf peeping

Where are you staying. I'd advise against the Stanley. For $500 plus a night they don't even have a bell boy to take your bags to your room.  We've also done cabins closer to the park on the river and  alpine trail ridge inn which we loved.

No clue.  Wife planned it all.  We are heading to TN in the morning and staying in Townsend.  Hopefully that gets us the leaf seeing fix.  Flying to Denver on Tuesday until Friday I think.  We will be the Estes area for a few days and that is about all I know.

I just was down at the gorge last weekend it was beautiful. But as usual be ready to be disappointed at all the tourist crappy restaurants these small towns have to offer. It's always underwhelming. I will say check out Oscar Blues in Lyon....sometimes they have decent music playing but all they have is burger type food

According to an email confirmation we are staying at Aspen Winds on Fall River Tuesday - Thursday.   She elected to not book a room at Stanley.

Looking at the what someone else told her it is appears we may get involved in some or all of the following:

In town - Poppys.  If it's a nice day, ask for a table outside by the river
Near town - Rock Inn Tavern      You get the mountain "vibe" here (locals) & they usually have live music - great steaks & hamburgers too!
Pizza - Antonios, across the street from the Estes Park Ark store
Breakfast & Lunch - Notch Top (in the Safeway shopping center region)
BBQ - Smokin' Daves, 820 Moraine Avenue.  There is a second location inside the Estes 18 hole golf course too that's never as busy.

Lilly Lake, Eagle Plume Indian Trading Post, St. Malo Catholic Church.

Bear Lake, Spargue Lake, Alluvial Fan, Endo Valley Picnic Area, Alberta Falls.
