So this company admits to cloud seeding in south central Texas a couple of days before, but it had nothing to do with this storm.

I have never read anything that makes me believe cloud seeding actually works.  Remember, they tried it in Arkansas as far back as the late 60's.

There's a technique called Permaculture that is being used in India and also places in the Middle East with great results. You don't need cloud seeding...you need to figure out the natural environment and put the right plants in the right places and it helps build up the water table etc etc. Then you can really green up the area. Lots of case studies and success rates on the topic on youtube.

Grok said cloud seeding causes between 0 to 20 percent more rain in existing conditions.  One inch per hour is 27,000 gallons per acre.  So if ten inches of rain were forecast and you got 20 percent more, that would be a shit ton of water.  Even ten percent would be.

The weather forecast was out there.  Rain was expected.  So the obvious thought would be that seeding clouds in an area where rain was expected in 24 to 48 hours was trying to cause more rain.  Clearly you wouldn't do it trying to cause rain from scratch because you would never be able to say the seeding caused it.  But if a model predicted X amount of rain, you seeded it and there was an increase to Y amount, you would have a better idea of the effectiveness of cloud seeding.  Do it a number of times, develop averages and models based on expected amounts before seeding and what occurred after and you could get some predictability.

So, if they were cloud seeding in that area a day or two before the rain, it's pretty safe to bet they were trying to cause more rain.  I would love to see their computer models as to how effective it was, especially if I had a loved one lost or represented the family of one.

Since the end of winter it has rained more in Houston so far this year than any other year we have lived here.  I'm sure it is coincidence and we can thank one of the Nino's but I would like to know if cloud seeding has been done locally.  Hell, if they have been doing it in the Gulf, would that be enough to create what is happening here.

Watch AI it can wrong on simple stuff.  I figured up how many gallons of water one per acre on 100 square miles would be and came up with 1.7 billion gallons.  I asked Grok and it said 6.4 billion.  I did my figures and again came up with 1.7 billion. Asked Grok again and she said 6.4 billion again.  I asked her to break it down and she immediately said, 1.7 billion and that she had made a mistake.  Thats a really simple task.  Her excuse was that she is basically so smart with so many numbers running around in her head that she messes up the small stuff sometimes.

Lol...all this AI and it still makes the same excuses I made to my 8th grade Algebra teacher.
