Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

I think he's got you, USAF.

Quote from: SwahiliSteve on Jan 21, 2026, 11:24 AMI don't think people are focusing on the real issue with this storm. It's an infrastructure issue...memba Texas the other year. People will be left weeks without power. Could shut down  refineries and water systems and a few LNG terminals if it goes far enough south. You in that pink band of straight up ice...go ahead and sign off now and start preparing. Don't end up like wallyhog dead

It's okay. We can just invade Venezuela again.

DRYANKNPULL

I was on the fence for this year, but I just sent my dues after this page.

this winter storm going to fuck shit up from new mexico to virginia, as far north as kansas city and as far south as houston.

major icing event on the south half of the storm where warmer air will rise above the colder air, and major snow fall totals on the north half where all the air is cold as fuck.

could be upwards of a million without power for days.

Looks like the ice/snow line has moved northward.

Weather Channel app predicts 1-3" of snow and ice, with wintry mix happening Friday night late through Saturday night, then turning to snow.

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

HTL

Todd says initial will be sleet and not freezing rain in Central Arkansas. 6+ of snow on top of any sleet.

BASS

just saw an updated forecast model that is now saying 18-24" for nwa....a little strip from tulsa to harrison around hwy 412 and south about 50 miles.

Gallon jug Painkiller Recipe

1 1/2 Cups (12 oz ) Orange Juice
1 1/2 Cups (12 oz) Crème de Coconut

Shake well, pour over ice, top with nutmeg.

This storm keeps getting upgraded.

There is now a several hundred mile wide swath of land from the Texas panhandle all the way to Maine that will get more than a foot of snow.

Several cities will set three day snowfall records.

I'd stick with Todd. He'd be freaking out if he thought LR was going to get freezing rain.

Weather channel is saying up to a half inch of ice for little Rock, more the further south you go. Then snow on top of the ice.

This latest model...there is now a strip of land east of nwa in the 24-30" snow band on the weather channel.

This is truly a bread/milk storm of the century.   Up to three feet of snow in Appalachian Virginia. Wow.
