I don't think people are focusing on the real issue with this storm. It's an infrastructure issue...memba Texas the other year. People will be left weeks without power. Could shut down  refineries and water systems and a few LNG terminals if it goes far enough south. You in that pink band of straight up ice...go ahead and sign off now and start preparing. Weather channel is saying up to a half inch of ice for little Rock, more the further south you go. Then snow on top of the ice.

This latest model...there is now a strip of land east of nwa in the 24-30" snow band on the weather channel.

This is truly a bread/milk storm of the century.   Up to three feet of snow in Appalachian Virginia. Wow.

Sleet in Central AR though. I'm still skeptical the cold air may not overwhelm and we end up with more snow though.

Technology has made weather reporting unwatchable. Now I got an hour explanation of what this model says vs that model, and if this changes it means 10 other things. I don't need to be a fucking weather expert. Just tell me if we're gonna get rain, snow or sleet, and how much (a little or a lot). That's all I need to know. Shouldn't take more than a minute.

They forecast the ice and snow totals separately and it's causing confusion.  The half inch of ice is most likely what you can expect in addition to any snow totals.  It's gonna get messy.
