I have a garage refrigerator. Definitely the kind of weather where you move stuff (drinks sitting in the garage) into the refrigerator to keep them WARMER.

Something about beer chilled outside when it's like 15 is so much better than when you put in the freezer.

Mine is in my detached garage.  When it's 100 degrees outside my freezer works.
When it's below freezing outside, my freezer stuff thaws.

Mine acts the same. Never figured it out except I figure the freezer says shit, I don't have to do anything, it's already freezing.

I bet there is a technical explanation that is roughly that.

I wish I could say what my freezer says this weekend, but I gotta go work this weekend.
They opened up the call rooms at the hospital for those who wanted to sign up and stay, but I had to come home and take care of the mutts.

It will switch back and forth, ice to snow to ice. When the low pressure center taps the Gulf moisture it will be warm air riding up over the cold, so more ice.
