I fully expect my mother to get up and start stumbling around and fall before daylight. Then call me wanting me to go to her house, with an inch of ice on the ground, and pick her up off the floor.
She really likes to fall during extreme weather, family events/holidays, or when I'm 700 miles away for work or vacation.
So as the weather gets worse, the chances my mother falls down goes up.

Sleet here in Keller TX. DFW doesn't handle sleet/ice well. Thankfully it's a weekend.

I need to get the old Montgomery Ward wall heater in my garage fired up. Worked on a old Dearborn heater yesterday...told the people they needed to replace it with something modern that won't kill them. But I got it working long enough to get them thru the storm. oh and really want that old heater for my collection of really dangerous wall heaters. 


My server room slash home office mini split is still wanting to cool with it being 18 degrees outside. I may want to look into more energy efficient shit.

How safe is it to run one of these Buddy Heaters in my garage?  I've got a fridge, freezer, and my water heater is out there.  I was thinking of firing it up tomorrow night when it's supposed to fall below zero.  I know they're supposed to be indoor safe but feel uncomfortable with that thing going all night while we're asleep.

I ran it last night for a few hours and it definitely makes a difference.

Not in WLR. Heavy sleet pileups. Light snow just started.
