What's sad is pitching didn't lose the game.  The pitching was good enough.

Once again, in the must win situation, our hitting went home early.  I'm tired of that occurring year after year.

The sad thing is that it's obvious Tony V hates the MLB and desperately wants to get back into college baseball, but we of course won't hire him because of our "we do things the right way" pious bullshit that plagues our programs, athletic department and fan base.

Wes will probably win a ring and coach himself out of our job.

We'll wind up playing with our food and promote Wernes or Hobbs and suffer the same fate as South Carolina where a great program devolves into mediocrity.

Tony V will probably end up at Ole Miss when Bianco retires. We'd better hope Jay Johnson keeps winning enough to satisfy LSU fans or doesn't bolt to the MLB, because the doomsday scenario is LSU going full sicko and hiring Vitello (which they absolutely would). He'd win multiple championships there.

Does anyone really think, that even if we somehow miraculously come out of this regional that we will do anything in a super regional? Our bats are dead. Pitching is suspect. Fielding is laughable. All point to resounding defeat, killing all of our souls. Deep down, I have a small ray of hope that is going out. If we lose today, I will actually be relieved. This has been a trying season at best. And I am worn out at the ways we find to lose. Here's to next year.....
