Needed someone who would excite the fanbase.  Or at the very least we needed someone with a hook we could sell and manufacture some excitement.  Kane Wommack and his Arkansas ties fits that second mold.  And it is important because excitement means money and money means talent and talent means wins.

Instead we got neither. This guy is a complete wait-and-see hire with most people pretty convinced from the start that he will fail.  No excitement, no money, no nothing.  I hope he got some commitments from some big boosters for NIL or it will be bad.

Golesh is a relatively inexperienced coach who's only been HC for 3 years and has gone 7-6, 7-6, and 9-3. Auburn is taking a chance and he could pay big or be Billy Napier 2.0.

Sumrall was the guy I wanted but he coached himself out of our job. He's arguably the best hire of the entire carousel, and that's including Kiffin if he does go to LSU.

Morris was the other guy I wanted but OSU outplayed us by pouncing early. They're obviously better led than we are.
