Tim was one of the best recruiters the Hogs have ever had. That is less of a selling point in the portal era but he and Harold (RIP) still have a wide network of relationships with important people in the state which could help with fundraising.

I haven't kept up with his recent career but, as a RB coach at Arkansas and Auburn, he has a long list of Doak Walker, All-American, All-SEC and SEC rushing leader players under his tutelage.

The main reason is that he is a former Wampus Cat which, of course, makes him superior to all other forms of life.

Horton did a lot of the work holding that first class together, and convincing Bobby to offer some of the guys Nutt didn't (Wilson, Dennis Johnson, etc).  Other than that, yeah.

Ah, but his roots go back to Arkansas County.  His father was one of several Hortons from DeWitt.  I think there are some still there.

There isn't a single coach on the staff that I've heard of and the only thing going for us is we haven't done well with staff we have heard of so there's that.
