Obviously he'd never admit this, but I think he was more focused on our job (which I think he knew he had) than the one where he actually had a team on the field.

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

This. He wanted our job bad. He was checked out.

Just like he will be when he is in year two of a losing season at Arkansas and looking to get out.
The dildo of consequence, rarely arrives lubed.

So you want him to fail. Nice.

I know he's the son of a former FSU assistant coach and I want to say he was committed out of high school to play at Ark before a coaching change but I may be remembering it wrong.
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

i think it was petrino that recruited him.

I will say this much, no matter what happens Silverfield wanted the job and is busting his ass.

This is more energy than I've seen from a new football coach at UA since Petrino.

I'm still so angry over how Morris approached the job, this isn't that.

It's hard to lighten up with anything you say. 100% of it is negative.

I talked with a couple of people who were at the Athletic Department's Christmas Party Thursday night. Here are a few things I learned:

  • Ryan Silverfield gets it. He wanted the job and is full of energy.
  • He's a very good communicator and detailed oriented. Something Sam lacked.
  • An influx of cash for NIL has been raised and cash for staff and off field analyst. The number is $35 Million. Not sure how much is for NIL, but was told about 70% will be earmarked for football NIL.
  • Silverfield said that they are going to strive for big upgrades on the defensive side of the ball in the portal.
  • OL was better this year because Sam got really engaged with them and coached them more than Metaos. The returning OL guys were excited that Mateos was not retained.
  • Silverfield met with each OL two different times individually and had 1 hour long film sessions with them. OL is fired up!
  • Shaq McCoy was told to look somewhere else. Doesn't have the lateral quickness RS looks for in OL.
  • Players are excited about RS and love his energy. Was told energy was lacking in the building the last 2 years.
  • The football only GM was a huge get and people nationally were surprised I was told.
  • Some smaller sports that have never had NIL are getting some now. Nothing huge, but something to help them out a bit.

That's about all I found out, so just thought I would share.

There's some interesting stuff in there. Thanks for sharing.

On point #3 I would assume that 35MM must include the $13MM from the rev share plus $22MM in NIL contributions.

I thought the players loved Mateos so that's a curveball. I find it very encouraging that he took the time to sit down individually with the most important unit on the team to break down film. That's the best thing I've heard about RS yet because the work ethic and attention to detail are obviously there.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Careful.  You're almost causing me to be encouraged.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

Yeah, but he made them sit up with both feet on the floor.  That's a red flag... :stache:

You're making me angry all over again. Fuck that crosseyed Aggy retard and his incredibly punchable face. Someone should've cut the repel cord.

Nothing makes me believe the shit about the OL
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Well, it came from a starting OL's dad, soooooo.

Silverfield is an OL guy and that was his last position coach job, it'll be a point of focus and emphasis. Easy to buy into that.
