I think we'll be decent on defense for the first quarter of each game and then we'll get worn down when the offense can't get out of it's own way and end up giving up 40 points a game. We might even stay with Tulsa for a half.

The Oline and receivers are a bigger problem. They weren't getting open at all. KJ was definitely going through his progression, but needed to bail quicker. I think our only offensive  talent is at TE. Make them the primary targets.

Receivers were getting open just fine. KJ either didn't see them or was just scared to pull the trigger.
KJ looked like he was playing not to lose his job. Played scared.

I think it fits the definition of irony that KJ Jackson played too poorly to be replaced.

If he played better, anywhere from pretty good to great, we probably have a big lead in the second half and Hill gets time as a cupcake mop up guy.

As it was, both not to create a QB controversy and to give KJ much needed reps, Fish couldn't pull the trigger.

Just from watching on bootleg youtube I wasn't exactly seeing a lot of guys running wide open but I'm sure once the know-it-alls break down the game footage they'll be stuff showing up. I think they were taking away Pratt and that was possibly fucking up our game plan.

At the game and I didn't see guys open very often. Only guys open were drop offs.

So you think we should just pay people millions of dollars to design, implement, and teach an offense to college age kids that emphasizes on kind of a if, then, else = do kind of structure? Never work.

The kids just learn the plays.

He has multiple plans in his pocket to call plays that counter what the defense is doing. It's his job to decide the if, the then, or the else.

They just run what he calls.

Seems like we have had our share of dumb coordinators.

The offense we saw against North Alabama was not exotic in any stretch of the word, there was virtually no effort at all for window dressing. That can mean a couple of things. 1st is we don't want to "show anything" until we have to. 2nd....we can't show anything because there isn't anything to show. 

Even the most basic SEC offenses should be able to run some flare for the dramatic misdirection type stuff. We were running right at the defense and throwing some very "going thru the motions" kind of plays at them and hitting enough to score over 30 and really weren't under any major threat to lose the game. We are a couple turnovers, a few penalties away from this score looking more like we thought it should be. 

That's my turd polish I'm putting all this to help me cope for the next week.
