Quote from: Barton Fink on Sep 07, 2026, 06:11 PMBut BP didn't tell him to throw it to the wrong spot. Isn't that on the QB? Make the right read. Make a good throw. Those are the 2 things a QB is asked to do. That is literally his job.

And it's the coach's job to teach him how to make the read and the proper mechanics of the throws.

Look sure, a lot of it is on the players.  But teach them better and play players who are less likely to fumble.

Fuck it.  BP has always been a terrible coach.  I'm glad he is gone.

I am just thankful our new guy knows after game one he needs to fix the problems!

If only he would have known to fix the problems before game one.

I'm happy for Bobby that he's rid of this loser program and it's base of loser mentality fans. For fucks sake X is full of people clamoring for Nutt to return as AD, and others who think BP got a fair shot after Pittman was fired mid season and the team quit on him. Then there's even another contingent still talking about the glory years of Frank fucking Broyles.

I think bobby is still a good coach but he lost me going all in exclusivity with Taylor green despite the multiple mistakes and missed opportunities at key moments in games with the same mistakes time and time again,  Lamar Jackson he was not but yes, who is?

His best success came with passers like mallet and Wilson and not dual threat guys which made it so puzzling why he rode so hard with green. He was really high on drake lindsey but that ship had sailed before he returned thanks to sam.

Piggielicious

I went to the Mississippi st and Memphis games last year, and I can confidently say that BP is still one of the best offensive minds in football.

There was at least 1 wide receiver running WIDE OPEN on EVERY pass play, but many times either Green threw to the other side of the field into double or triple coverage or the OL was getting blown up and he was running for his life.

Last season was lost in the offseason with the awful strength and conditioning coach. That's not something any interim coach can fix during the middle of the season.

Had BP gotten the head coaching job over RS, this year would have been much better. We have dumbasses at the very top running the athletic department.

I'd appreciate a full quote next time.  What you quoted could lead some to further think I'm a retard.

Same. He was ourc best option last year.

I was somewhat hopeful Bobby would go ahead and take KJ Jackson as the starter after it was clear the Hogs weren't doing shit anyway. But that probably would have just done damage to the kid. Bobby might have landed that job if he had put a couple W's on the board but with that bunch it just wasn't happening. At this stage of his career I'd take him as OC in a heart beat...as a HC I kinda think the sun has set.

When Jimbo comes in a few years maybe we can get a Space Cowboys type of dream team of coaches to come with him.

Horseshit. Our Administration has a history of making bone headed moves and gaslighting the morons that it was for "integrity," then telling you the reason we aren't better is because you're not giving enough

I mean, I don't actually know that, but it sounds accurate enough.
