maybe not, but it's the players who are getting the blame. reading this thread the last couple of pages, no one has brought up the coaches.

as for the money stuff, a coach can make more in one season than most of the people in this country will make in a lifetime. a six or seven figure buyout that is paid off. if his mansion is not paid for outright by the university or boosters, he gets sweet deal none of us will ever get, a housing allowance to help offset it, use of a private jet, expense accounts, etc.  then outro as soon as a better gig comes along.

but motherfucker it's all because these players are getting a little.

I honestly, really, enthusiastically would prefer going back to the way it was when I was a teen and kid loving this game.

Conferences tied to a Bowl Game.  Invite the best team you can get to oppose them. Scholarship to pay your education and help you be successful after school.

No unlimited transfers.   If your coach leaves you can or you transfer one time- no problem.  Multiple transfers put you on a sit out period.

With one big, new wrinkle.  An honest-to-gosh real authority to enforce the rules. 

I don't care if multiple teams claim to be best at the end.  That is actually great.  Discussion and arguments as to claims never hurt anyone.

I could see that as part of a CBA once they realize that one is necessary to provide any sort of structure to the sport.

I hadn't really thought about it. I can't think of any coaches that have coached 3 or 4 different teams in a 5 year period.
