Neuheisel thinking the CFP goes straight to 24 teams, and the traditional bowl games become week 1 games. Greed will have ruined another great thing.

That's what I would have asked the "rules expert" about, not things we can all plainly see with our own eyes like TD or not. I don't need an expert for that. But I do want to know about the hat.

I wasn't able to watch the game so I didn't see the play, but the official drops his hat any time a player goes out of bounds...whether on his own or forced out.  If the player was forced out, he can come back in as soon as possible and still be eligible.  Also, the philosophy from the NCAA is to be very lenient on being forced out.  If there's any question at all, it's considered a force out and the player is still eligible.
