I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the rule and did the opposite of a 10 second run-off.

If you have 12+ men on the field on D in the final minute, 10 seconds get added to the game clock.

Think of it as an addendum to the rule about how a game or half can't end on a defensive penalty.

Watching Kiffin's Ole Miss offense reminds me of why I hated Briles' offense when he was here. That 20/20 offense is great between the 20s, but fold inside them due to the compressed field and can only manufacture TD's from downfield.

Between that and Kiffin's penchant for passing up field goals, it's no wonder they keep losing these close games.

They got inside LSU's 30 yard line 7 times last night, and came away with a TD just once. Three of those drives netted 0 points, including passing up what would have been a chip shot FG to go for it on 4th down and get stuffed.

The whole thing is kind of a snapshot if where we are in this country with everything.  For government, sports, anything to work everyone has to agree what the rules are and agree to follow them.  When people intentionally with forethought violate the rules, shit stops working.

15 gets the play blown dead, a penalty, and no time off the clock. Plays happen with 12 on the field all the time, without anyone noticing until the ball has been snapped.

The most fucked part is Ryan Day was trying to tell the refs before the play clock ran down that there were 12 out there.
