We can't have another deal where we fire the AD, the let the acting AD hire the new HC.  I don't think HY took any ownership of football during the ChadMo era.  Then he made a shit hire to replace him.

I don't think they were prepared to having to pay Donuts and Chad buyouts plus buy a non-shitty coach so they had no choice but to take a flyer on somebody. In typical Arkansas fashion instead of going down and getting a proven winner at a lower level we opted for a career assistant that was well liked here but didn't overly produce anything of meaning. But lets not let that slow us down now.

Oh and I'm not going to hope the team loses just so we can speed up the process. The rip off the Band-aid approach may be necessary later in the season to get out in front of "recruiting" kids that won't be here in 2 years but there's no huge rush barring losing to A-State.

Agreed.  I had no problem with hiring Pittman with the circumstances we were in, but do have major issues with the extension contract. Sam had zero leverage and hy folded like a cheap suit.
