A couple of gems from the presser:

"We have a good team.  We are doing the right things.  We've got to hold on to the football.  We got to tackle better.  We have to play harder."

Question: WTF?  Doing the right things and then lists eveything we could possible be doing wrong.  Double dog WTF?

Reporter asks about Bradley Shaw's performance.

Pittman said he played well but got fatigued and then went into the fatigue comment which was:

"And you know, we just havn't practiced much in the heat.  And to be honest with you its not cuz we go inside.  It's we haven't had heat.  And we did on Tuedsday.  Uh, it was 90 here on Tuesday.  And so that was one of my biggest concerns that it was going to be hot over there and sure enough it was and we, uh, I thought they played through the heat harder than we did."

Observation: Another thing we didn't do right.

He knows he's cooked.  Probably trying to get fired now. Get that extra buyout money.

Only logical explanation.

That entire presser sounded more like a guy talking like he's just waiting for push notification to come into the office and turn in his keys. Lots of "I don't know" and uhh the heat and we're really good especially when we learn to give effort, tackle, and not turn it over.

I don't think I've ever heard a coach basically say "we are out of shape" in Week 4 of a given season. Is that limited practices now (more excuses)...but again no follow up to that bullshit from the lapdogs dancing around asking why the fuck we suck so bad. To Pittman it's not like we lost by a 100 so no big deal we'll get em next time.

He's saying of the same things I'd be saying if I just wanted to get paid to not be there. There was also the snide "Yeah I talked to Odom...about a lot of things". Like an OL coach position for next season?

That was exactly my thought. No way he says that shit otherwise.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Well, if Nutt has anything to do with the athletic department, I am done. Fuck him.
Well, shit...

Sort of like you're a Czech saying we can't afford good players for all Pittman's players to hear on TV.  Won't exactly make guys want to run through a wall for you.  Pittman and his POS AD need to be flushed like a case of the shits.

Sam wanted to be gone last year.  Had a deal to go, or at least considered one, and then got greedy and backed out.  He just doesn't want to be here.  It's obvious.

I don't think Sam has been into coaching since year three when Liberty beat us.  It's been all downhill for him since then.

He is just lazy.  You can see it in the games.  We get up big and then get lazy and lose or almost lose.

I remember thinking in 2021, after we beat Penn St. in the Outback/Tampa Bowl, that I'm sure I just witnessed the highlight of Razorback football for the next 20 years.  I never had confidence he would (he actually didn't, it was a group of homegrown winners and super seniors) ever reach that height again and Top 20 finish.

I'm not sure the program will beat that, those were Arkansas kids who had pride in our state and program.

Now?  Kids don't care.  They very thing that made Razorback football and inspired us all, the fighting undersized Arkansas Razorback who gave his blood and guts and fought above his weight, is forever gone in the current era. That's what we feel.  That's what we miss.

Our entire football identity is gone.  Now it's dollars, and we are the Cleveland Browns.

I hope I didn't witness the last height for the remainder of my life (which is why I went to the bowl), but I'm not sure we can get it right anymore.  Maybe that's pessimistic but 2021 was the best we've done since 2011, and we haven't come close since.

I hate it now. The players change every year. No pride. Just greed.

It's going to get even worse.

And, to the Houston Nutt chatter, the reason that's a thing is because Houston tapped into that feeling I posted.  Fans are hungry for our identity again.  It's making them crazy, because Nutt was a drifter and con.  He was about Nutt.  But he knew the program's identity and played it up.

I will give him credit, his players did, from time to time, punch above their weight and fight like Hogs.

Petrino was a northerner, but he was a fighter.  His teams played their ass off.  The identity was the same.

Then Bret, Chad and Sam.  Pitiful.  Lazy cocksuckers.

We can't hire Nutt.  We don't need that Malzahn dork.  But we need someone who has a chip on their shoulder who will fight. We'll adopt them if they match.  Problem is our current AD and former AD weren't one of us, and didn't care to be. Their hires reflected as much.

The entire press conference was a rational, mature approach to keeping things in perspective. It's just a game fellas. We lost a couple of games. It happens. It's not the end of the world.

A guy who is reasonably well-adjusted and doesn't want to punch holes in walls and slit throats every time he loses a game, should NEVER EVER EVER be the head coach of a serious D-I football program. The mature, well-adjusted coach should remain as an O Line coach at most, or teaching sportsmanship to peewee football players.

They have always been adamant they want every penny of what they are owed. They actually don't love Fayetteville. They would've been okay being gone last year but there was no reduced buyout consideration.

The problem is precisely that we are absolutely not one of those.

Quote from: RPL on Sep 22, 2025, 09:48 AMBazzel and the morning insane clown posse this morning said Baz had talked to Nutt this weekend about becoming AD and he wasn't really interested. Said he wanted to spend more time with the grands.  Baz suggested that he be the head of the Razorback Foundation instead.

He's probably too busy oiling a leather glove.

Canning Yuri and hiring HDN has all the markings of a shitshow. However, as fans, you can't deny the m'fer didn't love the helmet.

We are kind of caught in this thing where we don't want another "suit" to be AD but we also need someone skilled and a full grasp of a modern college athletics program from a stand point of raising NIL and all that stuff. As others have said recently and this has been a big concern of mine for a while as well...we have two competing factions for donations between our collective and the RF and limited in how funds are distributed by state law etc. The way the program is currently set up is a recipe for mediocrity and until that is resolved thru legislation the problem won't be resolved.

The question I'd have to ask is how differently are we set up as opposed to other SEC programs? If we are that different then why aren't we doing everything we can to join the pack? If the great limited factor of this program is literally because of state law then one has to ask why hasn't anything been done. I have to assume there are those benefiting off the situation.
