My son, a student at the UofA, was asking so I guess he is a traitor for wanting to see the team that is said to represent his school.

 Honestly, it doesn't matter where they play because it will never be enough nor will one's financial contributions be enough to support the number of individuals who are making over a half million dollars a year within the athletic department.

You have coaches bitching about the very conference expansion that has is fueled by the tv deals which make their $5 million plus per year salary possible.

ESPN, who has helped create this mess, is looking to be sold in whole or a stake of by Disney because of the expense so who is gonna bank roll the next tv deal? You think ADs (who make over a mill a year and don't have to deal with the average fan in person or what their game experiences or costs are) are gonna sick money away for when the bottom falls out or have they already spent it? It is every school not just Arkansas. But has all this tv money changed anything other than the cost of doing business? Honestly, what other than  NIL which hunter and the other ADs want Congress to regulate (which everyone else has profited off the kids but the kids themselves), is actually going to elevate the Razorback football over the rest of the SEC?

Sorry for the rant but it has become insanely stupid and irresponsible what college athletics has become has turned college football equal to a lottery ticket that promises a big payout of which the odds of actually winning are slim to none like Tuesday's mega millions drawing.

I'm trying to get this understood. It takes a bit to get up to speed in a 40 yard dash before you can post a speed of 20 mph knowing that no human can run 20 miles in one hour.

Like all those fans who wouldn't attend a game when Chad Morris was coach?  Or the end of the Houston Nutt era.  WMS is a gottdamm shithole and I refuse to go to a game there.  Rock it.

Nope.  Those were legitimate reasons for fans not to attend...to protest bad decisions by the athletic department. 

Not going to see a good team because you don't like the stadium...a clear sign of a lack of dedication to the team.

The LR game is a nice travel break for fans in Lake Village and whatnot bu the experience should be for the current students mostly.  You only get a limited number of home games while you are there.

Yeah if any of our dlinemen like Jackson are running far enough to reach 20mph during a game it's probably not a good thing.

The LR game is a nice travel break for fans in Lake Village and whatnot bu the experience should be for the current students mostly.  You only get a limited number of home games while you are there.

We always enjoyed LR games when I was in school, but at that time WMS was the better stadium.  Razorback Stadium didn't even have lights.

We have played in a four chin strap division forever. Naturally we are going to have a pile of losses to ranked teams. Just ignore that Miss State and Ole Miss probably don't have nearly the embarrassment.

Actually, if we are going to have a game in LR, and I am not arguing that point one way or the other, this year's schedule isn't that bad.  Have it in LR on Labor Day weekend.  Lotsa people leave Fayetteville that weekend anyway-- one last weekend on the lake, etc.  My complaint is the time of day-- isn't it like at 2 pm?  That's crazy on Sept 2.  It will be `120+ in that stadium, most likely.

My first reaction is, "Thanks ESPN!", but with it being ESPN+ (pay TV) you would think we could have picked the start time. 

If we're going to play there it needs to be a night game.  You can call it a nod to tradition when WMS was the only stadium we had with lights. 

I agree with you on the date of the game.  Might as well have it at a time when you have the fewest amount of students on campus...just like we used to do with the LSU game over Thanksgiving before Kermit the Frog fucked that up.

I remember the Missouri State opener in 2009 and it was a 6 p.m. kickoff I'm pretty sure and it felt like a sauna. Then DJ took the opening kick 100 yards to the house and nobody cared anymore.

I remember that.  I was at a friends house.  We had set up a tv on the patio so we could stay close to the grill and ice chest and yea, it was hot as balls in Ft. Smith.  Those are the two things I remember.  The opening kickoff return and the heat.
