I think our Dline is going to be scary good this year. And what's more, we look to actually have an SEC level two deep. Not just 2-3 head and shoulders above everyone and not much behind them (like we seem to have every year). Listening to some of these guys and the coaches talk, you know they realize their snaps are limited just based on the amount of rotating the staff will be doing and that they have to maximize each snap they get. The type of play we look to be getting from them this year will obviously be a big help to our secondary. I know this is all fall camp fluff, but we may surprise some people this year.

Now I just wish I felt as good about the Oline...

Even slightly below SEC average would be a massive improvement over what we've had, save for the end of Ford/start of Nutt and the guys BMFP recruited. 

If we could get this defense to around 7th-9th in the league statistically this team could win ten games.  I'll believe we can get to those rankings when I see it.

I don't pay much attention to how our OL or DL is playing right now. We are playing against ourselves. So if we are told the OL is great, maybe our DL isn't so good. And the other way around. I will hold judgement until we actually play someone.

Usually you can tell how the season is going to go by the first game. This year the second, but more likely BYU will be a tail-tale sign.

Without Perkins LSU doesn't beat Arkansas last year, even with our abysmal QB play in that game.

Yeah, this was his last chance as a 6th year guy. He wasn't going to be interested in anything other than a starting role, but was likely to be buried on the depth chart. Can't really blame the guy for bouncing.
