I don't know how it's possible to rank us with entirely new players and new coaches. We could be anywhere from 25 to 125. Unfortunately probably closer to the latter.

I absolutely lived for Arkansas football for decades, since it was 8 or 9. Now I couldn't care less, win or lose.

It's a confluence of things for me. Us bottoming out multiple times as a program and being utterly incapable (or unwilling) to be competitive was a key driver, but the evolution of college football has not been a good thing. Portal players, NIL, zero governance or regulation, and no consequences for anything has devolved this sport into a shitty semi-pro league with good branding.

You know something's wrong when a guy like Nick Saban gets out of coaching and basically goes on tour saying this sport is absolutely fucked unless something is done.

Those who do not know how Alabama operated behind the scenes probably think he is coming from a place where he cares about college football. To those of us who know, find it ironic and hypocritical that he is clamoring for rules that teams will once again break in order to get ahead. He is just pissed he had to compete with other schools willing to pay top dollar for players he could get or keep other teams from getting.

It is a  broken system, but it should just evolve into a premier league and separate itself from universities. Have them pay the universities for using the team names and symbols, so they can support some women's sports that can survive the new era.

all of that. nick saban is the last person i would want to hear about the game being ruined. he was the most protected coach in america, college or pro. when it was mcdonalds bags with cash, apartments in tuscaloosa for player's mom who were receiving food stamps from florida, or dodge chargers for everyone, he sure as shit wasn't complaining then.
