Well, I don't know any stud AD's.  But I'd bet a large sum of money that if the AL or GA AD's called the league office and said they were moving the game time, they wouldn't push back much.

TV sets the game times and, in my experience, they don't consult with the teams to determine those.  It's strictly on what they think will bring the most viewers.  I don't think an AD calling the conference office would have any bearing on the start times of a game.

The downside of getting it over with early is the ESPN Top News crawl all day:  "Notre Dame destroys Arkansas 56 - 6", every two minutes, from 2:00 pm until the last west coast game is over.  At least if it happens at night, the crawl on Sundays is more about the NFL. 

Unless of course the crawl is "Arkansas shocks Georgia".

On the bright side we play north Alabama at 3pm on opening day. The downside is they are the only team to win 3 consecutive football national championships in NCAA division II so they'll probably kick our asses for our first game

I ain't no mathmagician but that would be at least 400 yards per game, depending on whether Nutt still screwed up late season and/or postseason games.

Chad and Sam were terrible hires.

Bert had a name and was a winner prior to Arkansas. Not a bad hire but got lazy. Has success at IL.

Petrino had us cooking. Best we had been in years and maybe last 30 years.

Nutt is a doofus. As bad as he is...he had a few seasons of real excitement. The last two 4-7 seasons sucked. But Matt Jones, Felix, DMAC, Hillis all gave us hope and a chance.

The last two admins along with the interims were terrible at football.
