He whines too much and it has distracted from his greatness. He doesn't seem to have Jordan, Bird or Magic's will to win or their psychological game or the first twos shit talking ability. Bird has a whole series on YouTube of NBA legends telling stories about Bird. They are hilarious.

This does not happen in 1976 versus the Celtics.  He gets called for a. An offensive foul or b. Carrying, or c. Steps, or d. The ref lets the play go with a no-call and does NOT bail him out due to superstardom. 

Or, Dave Cowens or Paul Silas dive on top of him and knock him on his ass to the shrugs of everyone at the arena.  LeBron doesn't like it, either one will gladly beat the fuck out of him, or die trying.

Different game, not for the faint of heart was my point.  Is the current game front loaded to show case skills?  Probably.  Is it as fun to watch?  Well, for a little while.

Defenders in that area would have brought out brass knucks if he started trying to flop.

Anthony Mason and Charles Oakley would have capped Bron in the knees every time they played. No way that guy plays 25 years in the league then. It was a much different game back then. Sure LeBron could have played in that era but he would have been beat up badly by his 10 season most likely and probably done by 15.

I can't really disagree with that. Still think Lebron dominates in any era though. If you put Lebron on a team in the 80's people would watch him play and think he was an alien.

Lebron couldn't play in that era.  He would get call for carrying every single time he touched the ball.  He couldn't bully his way to the basket because literally no one could.  First, the game was much more compact.  Too many players in the blocks to bully.  Second, he would get called for a lot of offensive fouls.  Third, his ass would be dragging in a hurry.  He gets tired and drags now. It would have been way worse then.

I mean Lebron is no more of an athletic freak than Karl Malone was.  And he only handles the ball better because he is allowed to carry.

Lmfao. What a dopey casual take. For one, Lebron is a basketball genius, he makes the right play 99% of the time. He is one of the best passers of all time, he's an absolute athletic freak, he would be the biggest guy on the court in almost any NBA game in the 80's. He has made a ton of all NBA defensive teams. He gets tired now? No shit, he's 40 years old. You guys are really over emphasizing this carrying/traveling stuff like that is some new phenomenon and not something that has been going on in the league for over 30 years. How many guys in the league in the 80's were 6'8", 260 with point guard skills? I'll wait.

He doesn't have point guard skills, the rules make it seem as he though he does.  In the 80s he would not have those skills because the rules were different.  That's the point.

He might adapt, but he wouldn't be the same type player.  He would have to be more like a Karl Malone than what he is now.
