Slightly off topic but the discussion about Freeze got me curious.  There have been two coaches since World War II who have finished their Ole Miss careers with a winning record against Arkansas.  I'll pay the Woopig dues through the end of the year for the first member who can name both of them.

SLIGHT HINT:  there were eleven Ole Miss coaches total who faced Arkansas in that time frame.

Didn't they clean up in the portal? I thought I remember seeing something like that. But then again, I don't care enough to look into the going ons of the plainstiggereaglemens.

Vaught's gotta be one of them.

Without the interwebs I can't think of the other.  Matt Luke was the coach during our Chaggie years wasn't he?  He'd have the easiest odds.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Ding ding.

Billy Brewer, Cutcliffe, and Diana's husband all went .500.   Freezu$ and Kiffin were each below .500 during one of the weakest periods in our history.

What I gather from this thread is everyone else got better and the Hogs are barely as good as they were last year.

Agreed...7-5 is my current limit...and I Love me some Dan Enos...after BYU we should have a good idea of the ceiling

If we have to run the flexbone, I want to see the running backs used creatively. That's where our strength is and they can all catch the ball. Run it and pass it to them until they stop us. Enos is a major upgrade over Briles, so I expect our offense to be potent.

We lost 4 games by 9 points with the worst defense in history so the defense can't help but be improved. They're talking about a big hitting freshman LB who knocked Rocket on his ass(video is out there). The transfer LBs are all upgrades on what we had. We have SEC size on the DL which will help keep the LBs clean. I'm hoping we'll have some DBs that can stay within 10 yards this year.

9-3 is the low end of what I'll be happy with.

That freshman LB will hardly see the field if at all. Enos kinda screams retread at this point but still better than Briles. 9-3 would be SEC COTY.

We'll have a better defense, but our WR are TBD and our OL is MIA.

I guess it's good we have a QB who can make things happen when the play breaks down, because it's going to break down a lot I think.

We are not going to beat A&M or LSU. We all know Bobby and what he can do. Look what he almost did to us with Missouri State...he has this game circled w/ much better weapons this time. LSU may seriously win it all this year.

Heart wants to say 9-3 but head says 7-5. OL concerns being the root of the discrepancy. If OL shows up, I think Rocket has a McFadden-like year.

We're also not going to win another game this year.

I said 8-4 you fat, nasty piece of shit. That's barring injuries.

Quote from: DirkPiggler on Aug 25, 2023, 10:52 AMOther teams are getting beat to hell as well.

Ole Miss plays us a week after LSU and Alabama in consecutive games.

Auburn flat out sucks.  They shouldn't beat us regardless.  I like their trajectory going forward with Freeze as a recruiter, but he's got a roster full of dogshit right now.

Miss State replaced a legendary coach with a very unusual system with a guy who's never been a head coach, who is changing that offensive system without the personnel to do so.  They also lost 8 starters from a pretty decent defense.

If we beat all the teams who should be less talented this year, we go 9-3 at worst.  We are better than Ole Miss, Miss State, Auburn, Florida, and Missouri.  If we go 7-5 this year, with a senior all-SEC QB and one of the top RBs in the country, then we've likely seen the peak of what Pittman can accomplish, and it may be time to start planning his exit strategy.

Agree, except I recall Freeze beating us last year with Liberty talent.
Not sure Auburn is that depleated.
Oak Grove in the house.

I just wanted your bitch ass to be on record. You said it would be a great year. You didn't say it was your prediction.
Now get back to fantasizing about DJ stink holing your wife.

Said really good. Not great. Not that a fat, sloppy fucker like you knows anything about sports. The Woopig DC posters are all absolutely unhinged. What is with you people?

Noticed your bitch ass didn't deny your fantasy.
I live in Maryland. You would think a refined person such as yourself would know the difference.

Unless a similar, but opposite event happened at some other point during fall camp, that freshman LB was on the receiving end of a nasty pop by Rocket. Not the other way around.
