Also, I find it weird it doesn't account for injuries, as is likely the case with Weigman.
I dont think he had anything detailed for BYU because it was too early in the season and there weren't enough stats available

To be fair to Pittman, DVH was really outspoken down the stretch in 2022 about Twitter and the negative effect it was having on the players due to the hate they were receiving. He even went as far as to say they were glad to be playing the regional on the road in Stillwater just to get away.

I'm hardly ever on Twitter and follow like 4 people (Adam Ford is one), but these kids live their lives on social media and their identities are wrapped up in it. It's extremely unhealthy and not advisable, but it's their generational norm. I don't understand it at all.

Check out Jake Bequette's tweets about Pittman. Guy is an absolute loon.

A series of posts that basically say Pittman should be like/isn't Petrino without explicitly saying Petrino's name

Of course you'll have the sycophant types on twitter defending the brand like it's their life's work, faux outrage over the mental fragility of players/staff and most importantly it's hurting recrootin yaw. I feel like I can be critical without being a total douche on social media...but I also feel like people read stuff and over react way too easily. It's social media and everyone has an opinion and they are going to give it to you. It's like nobody knows how to except criticism anymore or more to the point people cannot distinguish a critique from criticism. They are more likely to say you aren't qualified to ask that question or "why don't you become the coach since you know so much". I knew when Pittman got pissy over a few probing questions about why his offensive line was shit that we were in for a rough time.

The fact of the matter is Pittman has completely mishandled the social media shit when he went all fox hole charlie on everyone. What next...we lose another one and he just says "I told you not to be mean on Twitter". If you want to do something...get out in front and be a leader of the program.

They are paying players via NIL...it's only natural that people are going to be openly critical when they feel the need more so than ever before. That's the line that was crossed and there's no going back from it. They are still kids and I don't want to be too mean as long as they represent the school in a positive light...but that doesn't mean I won't dog cuss the fuck out of them on game day if/when they do something stupid.

Hmm

First year won 3 games
Second year won 7
Third year won 8
Fourth year won 7

First year won 3 (Covid year but forget it I'm rolling)
Second year won 9
Third year won 7
Fourth year TBD

If Pittman wins 6 he'll match Bert's first four years.

Watched this earlier this morning...

1. Our tackles are getting consistently worked over like Kobe's girlfriend at Lake Tahoe especially in the 2nd half. It appeared Chamblee started the game and #51 came in for him. If our biggest issue is stamina it would seem to me we would be rotating guys in and out at tackle between the 3 semi playable guys. Surely they cross train at left and right tackles.

2. KJ has incredible ability to ignore the pressure and make pretty damn decent throws under duress or run it. That 2nd red zone drive he flat out missed a giant hole to run to daylight and possibly score. The guy that was "open" would have had to be a laser throw on the run...very difficult to make. I think that guy should have probably continued running and ran toward the middle front of the end zone KJ would have thrown it against his body but it will have created some space. I don't understand why WRs stop and just wait on the ball with two defenders waiting on either side. Run and keep running unless you are told to sit down in a zone or something.

3. KJ also has a habit of not knowing when to fold 'em and get rid of the ball or try to advance the ball up field. We're taking too many sacks putting us into 3rd and longs.

4. LSU's secondary was actually not very good...they'll get exposed by somebody later in the season. Our 2 point conversion was running against dime coverage and we still managed to have 3 people open. Excellent play design by Enos and good execution by the quarterback but LSU flat out fucked the dog on some of the coverage.

5. Dubinion wasn't helping the tackles when there was an obvious blitz/bull rush...that's either not his assignment or he's just plain stupid. On a few snaps it was clear he was waiting for a blitzer and he just wasn't finding them. Sanders will help a great deal in that regard if/when he comes back. I'm surprised Johnson isn't getting some of those reps as he's much better at pass pro. I think that says a lot about what type of player he is know after the injuries.

6. Our linebackers didn't display the greatest eye discipline...choosing the wrong holes sometimes in the wrong situations. We also had times where LSU was just absolutely in the right play to go against our defense. Denbrook called an excellent game. #3 was making us his bitch most of the night.

7. #15 was getting smoked by a couple of the best WRs we'll see. Safeties were consistently getting pressured to cover other areas leaving one on one situations for Singleton. We never adjusted.

Yeah, for a guy who's basically made a living on being a former Razorback, he's certainly made of habit of shitting where he eats.

And instead of levying legitimate football criticism at Pittman and the team — trust me there's plenty — he's trying to turn the Twitter bullshit into an odd culture war talking point. Just a weird hill to die on.

He got into it with one of the younger Hog Twitter media guys and basically accused the guy of being transgender because he had long hair. The guy promptly tweeted back a pic of Bequette in college with long hair, to which Jake then tried to play the "I was a captain and All-SEC!" card right on cue.

And now he's out here basically saying that the Twitter/mental health stuff is a narrative being pushed by women.

Just a terrible look for a guy who's really gone off the deep end trying to play this edge lord character and comes off like a shitheel.

Deleting his Twitter does bother me though for reasons already said. Take a break, hand it off to a GA.

What don't you get?  We fired a strength and conditioning coach in the off-season, and hired a new one. The nutrition program budget runs in the millions per year. We work all winter, spring, and summer to stay in shape, bulk-up, add good weight, get faster, stronger....

All to be led by a semi-morbidly obese person who can't seem to be bothered watching his own caloric intake.

Its reeks of lack of discipline and a talk the talk, but not walk the walk mentality. Like it or not, that has a negative impact on the culture of the program.

no semi to it

I was classified morbidly obese and I was smaller by a good bit.

Someone needs to tell the players to parse their public persona on Twitter from their real one.  Nobody criticizing them knows them personally so it shouldn't matter too much.  Of course, they have been "special" their entire lives based on their football skills so that is easy to say, hard to do.
Splash 11! drop ABE track, too confusing

yeah, i need to see how the coach's weight is having an impact on the culture of the program.

if we're 4-0 none of this is even being talked about. the only culture that's being exposed is that of the fans.

Agree.  We have some giant titty babies in this fanbase.

Kansas went to an orange bowl with a coach who looked like a dwarf planet.

Chad Morris maybe weighed 185lbs.

None of this matters to me.

But we aren't 4-0 and maybe that is because of the culture of the program...

animal

But we are so close guys...come on 2-2 is better than 0-4.

No seriously if it's hurting feelings we can do better. We don't have to result to personal insults. Well not yet anyway. Some people just fucking deserve it when they are clearly phoning it in and waiting for the buyout checks to start. Pittman is no doubt still doing his OJT...he's going to fuck up some things. He's going to be loyal to a fault on some of his "guys".

We went from Brad Davis as our OL coach to this Kennedy dude and anyone with a brain could see that it was a major step down. That meant people were expecting this head coach to take more of a hands on approach on the offensive line. I don't know that was are seeing that this season or last. The only thing different this season is we down Stromberg and Jones and maybe one other feller as our starters. Stromberg I guess is an NFL player but the others weren't. I understand those players were mainly replaced by youth and there is a youth movement and those things are going to happen at just about any college. With that means we'll struggle. Hopefully these guys will pull it together. Like with many things necessity is the mother of invention...it may take an injury to put some other bloat out there and see what they can do.

And maybe that has nothing to do with the weight of our coach. Enos seems to be in pretty good shape. How are we feeling about him today?
