If you are looking at hiring an over the hill head coach with a championship past but apply the breaks because the dudes former boss said to run...seems weird that would be a deciding factor. Sure take it into account but you have to weigh all the options and simply put there weren't any other takers for him and that scares a owner/gm.

If anybody thought Bill had anything left in the tank he would be hired right now.

Bill is an ass to work with and a lot of people have a sneaking suspicion his success was more about having the GOAT on his team than his genius.  It's pretty simple.  If he were easier to work with, he'd probably be getting the benefit of the doubt more.

He's been an asshole all his life. I can't imagine he'll improve with age and he's already 72.

Bill isn't getting hired after speaking with Philly, Atlanta, and Redskins. Most think he only wants to coach to win 15 games then he leaves.  He doesn't develop potential head coaches as he has always hired good soldiers.  He's a brilliant defensive coach, see last years team.  They held a lot of games to single digits; the problem is that his offense sucked and scored fewer single digits. 

Peyton is about to sign him to a big contract with his production company.  Unless Jerry hires him for 2025.

I have no fucking clue why the Broncos would trade for Zach Wilson. He's got some physical talent, which is why he went #2 but he ain't nothing between the ears. At least we only gave up a 6th for him, but still.

There's only a couple coaches I can think of that might could fix him and one is in KC and the other in Denver. But I agree you can't fix stupid.

I think Payton can fix Zach.  The fact that he had to play behind that Jets O-line would have made most anyone look bad.  Rodgers was running for his life too during the Hard Knocks episodes last year.

Former Razorback RB Jonathan Williams announced he has retired from the NFL. Most recently with the Redskins Commanders. I always felt like this dude never really got a great shot, always seemed to run hard when i saw him play in the league.

With the draft coming up I imagine the writing was already on the wall.

Caleb Williams is going to be an epic bust

Williams will be a solid second tier QB. A la Mayfield and Kyler like the other Lincoln Riley qb's.

Penix will be a tier 1 QB.

Not convinced Penix can handle the rush in the NFL. Not really sold on any of these QBs. That being said if I were really wanting a QB I'd probably work down the board and get Penix before reaching on some of these other cats.
