This Sparty bunch may be scrappy. Two solid huts and a sac fly in the top half, then their pitcher sat us down in order in the bottom.

0-1 after 1.

Spartans down in order and Cylie Halvorson sends one DEEP over the left field wall.

State down in order again and Hogs making noise. Already scored two (with a beer hat single!) and forced a pitching change.

3-1 with two on and one out, bottom 3.

Beer hit by pitch and now 4-1, bases still loaded with 2 outs.

Soft liner to short to end the rally. 4-1 after 3.


Long fly to left leading off the 4th to make it 4-2 and Deifel has seen enough of Beuerlein. Hannah Camenzind to the mound.

After she gets out of it with no further damage. 4-2 after 3 1/2.

Nothing doing after a one-out bunt single by Reagan Johnson. 4-2 after 4.

One harmless swinging bunt single and nothing out of the infield. Camenzind has them off balance. 4-2 after 4 1/2.

One-out walk by Halvorson and a two-out line drive HOMER to left by Hannah Gammill!  6-2 after 5.

Annnnnd, they regained their balance. Two-out, three-run bomb to left makes it 6-5, followed by a hard single to center.

We're forced to bring in the ace Herron to try to shut it down. And she gets a big strikeout to end the frame.

9-1-2 due up. Time for some more noise. 


L. Camenzind BLISTERED a line drive, but right at the shortstop.

Johnson one-hopped to the same place for out 2.

Nia Carter with an infield single off the pitcher.
