I'm thinking the sideline so that wayward dumbasses, mainly players,(and coaches), can feel the wrath of BMFP's anger when dumbassery happens.

Bobby in the booth.  Players in shock collars with buttons he can push.  Also next to a force recon marine sniper who can manage dumbassery with perfectly placed round to knee, shoulder, or brain.

We might have some serious struggles next year but I suspect it will look like a combo of 2008 and 2009.  Still a lot of work to do, but you can see where we are going and what we are trying to do and just need some pieces.

2009 wasn't an amazing year, but everyone watching that year could feel what was coming going forward and 2010 did come.  Let's hope we are closer to 2009 than 2008.

Looking at this year, we did have a ton of pieces and with better coaching this 4-8 is easily 8-4.  No joke.  The wins were right there with just a little more attention to detail.  We didn't get really blasted this year much, we just didn't do the little things required to win a close game.  I suspect we will see the team start to do the little things better starting next year...

The only man I know who openly talks about hiring prostitutes told me he thinks hiring BMFP represents "an all-time low" for the athletic department.  So there's that.  People are funny and stupid.

Logically, I know that you're correct.  However, in my heart, I desperately want to be good next year.  Well, good enough to beat TX, TN, and LSU.  Every team I hate, and I do mean HATE, we get at home... and I want nothing more than to win those games.

And it's always good to beat Ole Miss.

And I'd like to start beating the shit out of Missouri.

A&M too.

State and Auburn, I'd like to win, but no special hatred.

But TX, TN, LSU, MO, Ole Miss, and aTm is a heck of a hate filled year.

I'd give anything to run it up on Mizzou. Camera panning to dork's defeated face every few minutes.

The thing that really concerns me on offense is our lack of big play threats. Petrino had plenty of those guys when he was here the first time. I honestly don't know if we had one play go over 50 yards from scrimmage the entire 2023 season.

I think it was Dubinion that ran one like 75 yards early in the BYU game?  I was still hopeful a that moment.

I don't know that we DON'T have big play threats.  You have to have an Offense and an OL to make big plays and we did NOT have that this year at all.  It's entirely possible that we have plenty of raw talent.

Big plays were not a feature in the Enos offense.  There was an article about that aspect of his offense on one of those sites that breaks everything down before the season even started.  In the article it predicted that Sanders might struggle under than scheme because he was one of the worst yards after contact backs in the league.

IDK who needs to hear this but according to Matt Rhule your veteran transfer QB that's worth a shit is going to command 1, 1.5 to 2 million dollars

I have no doubt that's true about Enos offense but Rocket also got fat and slowed down. Anytime someone says "this guy gained 15-20 lbs and didn't lose speed" well that's bullshit. Maybe if he was on some really good gear but there's no way you're gaining 20lbs in less than a year and not losing any speed.

As far as big play guys go Sategna definitely fits the bill. I like Armstrong and Teslaa fine but they don't have the speed.

Neither were short gains, slow but steady marches down the field.

The main features of Enos's offense were quarterback sacks and hurries, and runs stuffed for no gain into a crowded line.

Armstrong is plenty fast...I came away fairly impressed with his overall game. Gotta think he would be a weapon with a better offense and blocking. I see him as a Javontee Herndon type in Petrinos system.

Teslaa is slow as Christmas but maybe they can do some magic with him in route running.

Dozier has potential but may not be on the team

Wilson will presumably be a "veteran" but isn't all that impressive.

Satagna is very small but could certainly utilize him in Petrinos system

We certainly need big play ability added to the roster for now and in the future. If you look at our WRs I'm not sure any of them would start or play for any of the front runners in our league.

How many passes were thrown where the receiver could catch it in stride and have the opportunity for a big play? We have to have a qb that can throw on time and to a spot. KJ didn't have that capability. Most were high/low or behind.

KJ's worst pass is Petrino's favorite.  That's the deep over the middle in stride.

I want KJ to go.  I realize we might get worse and that's okay.  I think KJ didn't buy in this year with Enos and that was a big part of why Enos failed so spectacularly.  Petrino demands a lot and frankly, I don't see KJ putting in the work.  That is a recipe for disaster because it will be hard to bench KJ.
