They are consciously trying to make him seem human.  Find me an example of him mentioning it or even entertaining a question about it in a business press conference.  The lake house interview I remember most was one where he talked about having a pool the entire time he had been there and not having stepped in it once in the first five or ten years because he was too busy.

Olsen also says he jumped at this opportunity because it was the only place showing interest. Where is that coming from? Has Petrino, his agent, or anyone with that kind of knowledge said anything close to that? Gotta love it when "reporters" can't stop at twisting the truth and just make stuff up in order to create the narrative they want.

Maybe I'm naive but I think Bobby genuinely loved living in NW Arkansas and it fit his profile of where he was comfortable living and someday retiring.  Like Sam I think he actually does love it here and staying in NWA was always his preference.  I don't think he ever would've left our job had he not been fired.

I think if he had to be an OC somewhere, it was at UA, and while he might want to be a HC it clearly wasn't at a lower tier which is why he left Missouri St. I do think he can't work for someone that won't let him run his own offense, he doesn't want to have the product on the field look inferior when it's not solely his responsibility.

This was a smart move by Hunter and Pittman as an angry fan base suddenly is cutting them enormous slack, literally BMFP may be the only hire they could've made that would've had any meaningful impact on sentiment.

I have said since it was first floated it is the only move that Yurachek/Pittman could make to win the fanbase back.  That decision sold many thousands of season tickets for next year.

I was at a basketball game shortly after Sam's 9-4 season and he damn sure got a huge standing ovation from the crowd while he walked from box to seat.  Jumbotron and all.  He can get back there.  He's smart enough to let Petrino run the whole show on offense.
