Looking around the conference, there were only 2 other sweeps with Vandy sweeping Auburn and Kentucky sweeping Georgia.

In terms of the West:
- Bama took the series against Tennessee
- Ole Miss won their series against USCe
- A&M dropped their series to Florida
- State won their series against LSU, including run ruling them in game 3.

Further wait, do I give off an "I'm a rich cool guy that knows everything" fake persona?  If so, just know I also fuck porn stars.
Ha. Shows how much I pay attention. I thought it was you who said that about Diggs. I didn't realize it was HTL. Damn. He deserves every bit of ridicule that is directed at him.

That said, USAF, you can still fuck off.

Bro, being mistaken for HTL has to be one of those death-grudge type things.

"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Good.

The SEC is a meat grinder in baseball, especially with the addition of Texas, so I'll take a gimme series every year.

It is, but baseball isn't like football where losing a game can hurt your postseason chances.

It's the only major sport where we're arguably elite. I want to see us play the best teams. Not waste a weekend playing fucking Mizzou.

Besides, just playing them hurts us as much as losing to a good team. So where's the benefit in playing them?

How bad is Missouri baseball? Well, the Hogs swept the Tigers in dominant fashion and dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 in the RPI, falling behind a Clemson team that went 2-1 at Duke.

Arkansas' overall SOS fell from No. 13 to No. 20 after the three games, too.

We play 40ish games over the course of a season.

A three game series against a team like Missouri doesn't affect the outcome of where we finish. At least not significantly.

I suppose you think we should stop playing midweek no names and instead play a schedule full of top 25 teams.

Basically, win all the games we should, most of the ones that are toss ups, and a few of the ones we shouldn't then everything will work out in our favor.

I think I've seen this exact argument from teams around the league playing Arkansas in football.  :-\
and they'll call us "Arky".
The same people demanding everyone embrace your beliefs, have zero tolerance and condemn another for embracing theirs.  Oh, the irony.

There are so many holes in your logic it would take all afternoon.

I'll just leave it with... to me, the point of following sports is to be entertained, and playing Mizzou every year instead of a team like LSU or Tennessee is not nearly as entertaining to me. I don't see them on the schedule and say "I can't wait to watch that series"

It's probably why we are off Bama's fb schedule. They are tired of beating us and watching their SOS fall.

The point of the season is to win as many games as possible, host regionals and super regionals, thus making it easier to get to Omaha and hopefully win it all.  Playing ten difficult SEC teams in consecutive weekends with no relative breathers makes that process harder.

Also, a series against Missouri gives our players a chance to pad stats.  Better stats for them means more individual awards and possibly better draft status, which in turn helps recruiting.

I wouldn't want to play a schedule full of Missouris.  Currently we are scheduled to play seven of ten SEC series against ranked teams or teams that just dropped out this week (South Carolina).  Ole Miss and Kentucky are playing well and could easily be ranked when we face them.  We're already playing nine tough weekends...one breather isn't going to hurt us.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

I can understand that argument better. It's just not the way I see it.

We're gonna play between 50-55 games this regular season. Between half and 2/3rds of those games will be to unranked teams. We have plenty of breathers built in. Not playing a team that wears softball uniforms every year isn't going to wear our boys out.

I enjoy watching us play against the best teams in baseball, because it's the only spectator sport where we're dominant every year.

If we weren't as good as we are, I would probably take your position and want to protect our record a little more in hopes of a better postseason position. But I don't think we need that protection.

Woopig never misses a chance to expose the holes.  Your response tells me you don't see any.
