Oats would be dangerous at Kentucky, but they're always going to be good regardless of coach.  Getting him away from Alabama would make it far more likely that they would return to their usual mediocrity.

Tyson and big money guys are always "behind" any hiring.  This is apparently happening on Yurachek's watch, so he should get the credit.  Remember, if it turns out badly, you won't blame Tyson, you will blame Yurachek.

Exactly.  This is the same story at UA and every big program. Every AD depends on the boosters. Mantits is here because these same guys didn't give HY the bucks to pay his buyout and for a new coach.  From an NIL perspective basketball is a whole lite cheaper to make a big impact.

100% agree. He's a NE guy and seems to take a lot of pride in what he's built there.

I would think Hurley, Oats, then Beard. If they get turned down twice they'll take the PR hit Beard will give them.
