Who gives a fuk if he calls the hogs.

They're still bitching about it on the Buzz. I'm glad he didn't call the hogs. We have the most retarded fan base in the SEC. Goddam.

I'm kind of in this boat. I used to eat this kind of shit up. But I realized it don't mean shit. Winning games means shit.

Relax.  I just figured they'd be able to find some common ground and laugh a little.

Quote from: Hogfan58 on Apr 10, 2024, 09:02 PMKudos to HY for giving props to Muss. Same to Cal for talking up Muss, Eddie, Nolan and Frank. He had nothing bad to say about UK fans or the state, so you know the issue was with the AD. He didn't say anything negative about him, but by saying nothing it's the same thing. I was very impressed.

This has been the friendliest coaching change ever.

Except for butthurt Kentucky fans, but fuck them anyway.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Dead period actually ends today at noon.

I like what Cal had to say about the changing college landscape. Players that can't play in the NBA are staying in college because of NIL, thus his 18 year old guys are going against physically mature 24 year olds or whatever. Purdue / UConn had players on the team for over 3 years. He's (hopefully) going to be more active in the transfer portal and looking for some dudes in his recruiting.

As grandmama said, "we need to get some mens".

Yes I know Larry Johnson is the one that said that about Arkansas on 1991. If you don't get the reference you're either too young or so old your memory is shit.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned the shoutout HY gave to Warren Stephens for helping to put this deal together.  I was under the impression that the Stephens family has been minimally involved in UA athletics since Broyles said no to War Memorial expansion.  This would be great if they would be a driving force behind the NIL program.

I didn't see that part of the introductory presser, but it was mentioned in this morning's paper.  I was also glad to see it.  Support from the Stephens family is important.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

Not one damn question on if he still considers us a "regional" power. The line he used when he got tired of losing to Nolan and stopped playing us at Tigger High. It's just so hard to wrap my head around this. So much history.

In the past. No need to start pissing in the pool this early. It wouldn't lead to anything positive.

Clearly he thought we were more than a regional power back then or else he wouldn't have stopped playing us.

That had nothing to do with it.  He was sick of us poaching Memphis athletes and wanted to put a stop to it.

We were pretty "regional" under Heath, which is when he said it.

I understand and that doesn't invalidate my statement.  He clearly saw us as a major power, not just regional.  But he had to say things like that so as to sway kids away from us.

This unfortunately was true too.

Last night was textbook by Cal.  He paid homage to Frank, Eddie, Nolan, the Triplets, mentioned Ron Brewer (maybe that's good for Jr?).  He joked with Kleine. He was completely comfortable and owning the room.

He called us a premier job last night.  Forget the past.

We have our Godfather.  All hail kiss the ring.
