Easy. Take them to a hotel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Feed them a solid meal. Ambien at 6:30 p.m. Wake them up at 3:00 a.m. w/ The Purge Siren alarms. Adderall XR 30s and 200 mg caffeine for everyone. Throw in some cimetidine for CYP2D6 and 1A2 inhibition. Wait an hour. Breakfast. Wait 2-3 more hours. Hit them w/ another trifecta of the cocktail. Nutrition prn til tip.

Not only will they be primed for an 11:00 a.m. tip, they may want to Ernie Banks it.
Pants ironed and back for more

more proof that Tyson's $1.7 million a year pool boy is out of touch with the fan base and needs to go.
Because he can't raise money for NIL from sponsors or boosters he is just going to have the season ticket holders pay the freight.

For a family of four to purchase season tickets in 2025-26, it would require a minimum $3,000 donation, plus the cost of the tickets themselves. At $365 per seat in the upper deck, that's at least an additional $1,260 — bringing the total to a whopping $4,460.

That is believed to be the largest price tag for four season tickets in the conference, according to research by Best of Arkansas Sports.

Using information both posted publicly online and received by reaching out directly to the other 15 SEC programs, we found that the next-most expensive set of four men's basketball season tickets belongs to Kentucky. The Wildcats' cheapest tickets are $850/seat and don't require a donation, meaning four would cost $3,400 — more than $1,000 cheaper than at Arkansas.

Auburn is the third-most expensive. The Tigers actually combine the cost of the ticket and required donation, marketing it as $550 per seat price. That brings the Tigers' total to $2,200 — less than half of the price at Bud Walton Arena.

"Because he can't raise money for NIL from sponsors or boosters"

I've asked before, but what if there are no sponsors or boosters lining up to give money?

As for the ticket holder angle, I bet those season tickets still get bought.  If that happens, is HY wrong?

vegashog

nil isn't a part of the revenue sharing, that's being paid out by the university regardless of what the collectives raise.

the people that have been grandfathered in for decades? oh well. and it wasn't yurachek that set the market or the price all by himself, but i guess some fans need to blame someone. and i agree those seats will get sold.

I think there will be a lot that are not sold as season books.  They'll get some of the revenue from the tickets, but not the RF contributions.  They also won't have the revenue from seats sold but that remain empty for our early season cream puff games.

I think taking tickets from long time ticket holders who can't swing 5K per year to keep them is the wrong way to go, but I guess I'm just being naive.

There is no justifiable reason for Arkansas to be the most expensive ticket in the conference.

100% agree.  I don't like the pricing model at all and fucking over your long time supporters is a dick move.

Fun fact:  when BWA arena opened in '93-94, ticket face value was $13. I think they went to $14 in '96 or '97. A student ticket book was half face value. My student ticket book was like $125.

aaron

Another fun fact. We've only gone undefeated in BWA twice. '93-94 and '97-98. Bring back $13 tickets and we will pack every game and win them all.

vegashog

auburn is going to raise their ticket prices, some substantially for premium seats, in the coming days. others will follow suit because they will have to. who knows where arkansas will end up as far as the most expensive.

and as for the long time ticket holders, isn't it a dick move that they get grandfathered prices while others that can and will pay the premium get left out? those new ticket holders will be just as good a fan as the ones currently in those seats.

I agree with this in principle.

On the other hand, it seems like most of the really good seats at Baum are now in the hands of corporate donors and often go unfilled.  It seems to have had at least some effect on the atmosphere.  So I don't know that you can assume one ass in the seat is as good as any other.

What if you're paying $5k and having to sit several sections outside your donation level while someone is paying 1/5 to sit in your donation level. Is that fair?
