Quote from: Barton Fink on Mar 10, 2025, 06:01 PMCal saw this early on. He repeatedly said this team would take their lumps early but would be much better by March.

It doesn't exactly take Nostradamus when that has been the Kentucky M.O. for the past several years. But often those teams went out early in the tournament despite the "gelling."

Barton Fink

He knew the extent of the injuries as well. No one knew Aidoo had surgery. Davis also missed a couple weeks in late December.

Show-Me Hog

In post-game Cal said Boogie would be available if we reach the 2nd weekend of the NCAA. I think he included Thiero in that statement but not sure (maybe he said Thiero was done).

As of this morning Lunardi had us as a 9 seed opening with Marquette and then getting Auburn 👎🏻
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

Frick it, let's beat them and be the story going into the second weekend.

If for some crazy reason all the wrong teams win conference tournaments and we are left out of the dance, do we turn down the NIT?

I think we do. The two main rationales for playing in it don't apply.

(1) Extend the season for a good team or a feel good team that didn't quite measure up to the NCAA. Yeah fuck that we're out of players.

(2) Get a young team experience for next year. Haha.

I don't see how the NIT lasts much longer, there's little incentive for teams not in the NCAA.

I think the majority of the conference tournaments are already over?

i read there's maybe two chances for bracket busters.  bracketmatrix has us in on every bracket. 92 brackets with an average 10th seed.

listening to cal's presser, while he couldn't say we are in, he kept talking about the next game.

CBS has us a 10 seed opening against BYU in Lexington and then potentially getting #2 Bama.

ESPN has us a 10 seed opening against Louisville in Lexington and then potentially getting #2 Bama.

Sounds like we're going to Lexington.

Sounds like we're going to Lexington.

That will be as bad as when they sent us to Austin for the first two rounds in 1995.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Spiderham

Boogie practicing tomorrow and available to play in the tourney.
Oak Grove in the house.

Zoso

Greenberg just said Boogie will be back for the NCAAs.

Barton Fink

This is a good thing. We need his minutes. I assume he'll play a role off the bench.

This makes us better....

Doc Hogaday

That's good news. He's been taking a dive in a lot of mock drafts. Down to 2nd round in some now. Hopefully he can put together a couple good games for us and for himself.
Pants ironed and back for more

Be great to get Thiero back too.
Never squat with your spurs on!

Somebody, maybe this same guy, did this w/ NSJ a couple years back. Still hilarious.

I mean, who doesn't like Candlebox??

Sus-Scrofa

Hope Boogie has been running.

Barton Fink

Saw him shooting with his left in a clip from the SECT. He needs to run and shoot constantly for a few days.
