I wish him well but but given the body of work he's done, what has made anyone think he's going to the league?
If he was the real deal he would have done it at Mizzou or here - he's a complimentary player at best.
I think we're all guilty of overhyping bigs, I know I was on Ware and he's yet to make a steady impact in college (oregon or indiana).

He'd have gone after his first year here had he not gotten hurt. I bought the Maui tv package and he had lottery talent.

My thoughts on Brazil are as follows.

1. He's a dime a dozen stretch four that's probably not really a 4 in the NBA but doesn't have the floor game to be a 3.

2. Since the injury he hasn't really shown the motor and the desire to really be good/great. Too easily pushed around.

3. He'd get smoked on the perimeter against most any small forward in the g league or nba and he's going to get his shit packed in the low post if you know what I mean.

His only real shot as a NBA player in my mind is IF he grows into more of a 4/5...adds some maturity/weight and embraces that role. Right now he's Kyle Kuzma without the talent, desire, or floor game.


I think maybe he's somebody that can go overseas for a few years and finds his niche and maybe he gets a shot in the league then but probably more likely a career guy in Europe or China.

Between his injury and his interview before this season where he said he knew he was already a draft pick, you just knew it wouldn't work out easy.

Today was the last day to enter the portal and there is really no incentive not to if you're also considering the draft. I think the deadline to withdraw from the draft is the end of May. So you get to get your evaluations and still have the option to come back to college if you don't like what you hear.

Brazile has been consistently, and still is, listed as a mid-2nd round pick in mock drafts. He had his chance to show he deserved an equal NIL value contract this year here and he blew it. Cal has bigger fish to spend those new NIL dollars on now. I don't know what school would allocate enough NIL dollars to Brazile to make him stay in college at this point. I think if he has a bad physical or NBA grade he just G League or Euros it for a couple years til he flames out (heh) and just quits basketball altogether. He doesn't seem to care a lot about it. Maybe he will change his attitude when he realizes that's his ticket in life.

It's disappointing. I thought, like many of you, he was going to be a badass here after the way he started the 2022-23 season.

Other Arkansas-related portal/NBA news:

-Kel'el Ware played well enough this year that he is considered a consensus top 15-25 pick this year

-Jaxson Robinson is a projected 2nd rounder in many mocks

-DJ Wagner has whittled himself into a 1st round grade so we may be an obsolete decision for him

i don't think combine invites have even gone out.

these guys have until the 29th to withdraw from the draft, so that's plenty of time to meet with whatever teams might be interested in them and get actual nba feedback.
