Knowing we can't hit a lick, where do we get 27 innings to beat a decent team in a three game set?

buff2.0

Anyone else not gonna be surprised if we don't make it out of the Regional?
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Well we may have to play a full 9 today after all. Peyton Holt with a 3-run bomb, 6-4 now.

We will win one. The other two will be toss ups.
Well, shit...

He missed his chance. Then of course still hit a good pitch right to the shortstop playing up the middle. Where teams always play him.

So every pitcher that has gotten hurt is a result of the pitching coach? What a dumbass comment.

Dietz is a freshman who was nursing an injury when he got to campus. Before working with Hobbs.

These guys need the Lou Brown push-up treatment every time they pop up.

And of course McLaughlin blisters one right at somebody.

Can't pitch, can't field, can't hit, can't catch a break.

I think it's safe to say that Tygart may be washed.

As of this post he's faced 4 batters.

E-1
Homer
Walk (advanced to 2nd on wild pitch)
HBP

This is 2022 all over again where we can't trust him at all headed into the postseason.

Hogworth Ballington III

Meaningless game, but I just hate that this will give HS his first loss of the season. And against a team he owned just 3 weeks ago.

Gambler

Do our pitchers know to check runners at 2nd?

Thin Red Swine

Maybe the selection committee is sleeping in today? Are we jeopardizing the Top 8 spot?

With this effort it doesn't much matter our seed, I guess.

Feral

Another 0-4 day for Diggs. He's been the last out of 2 different innings.

Meanwhile our 2-3-4 hitters are 4-10 with 2 walks. But they keep coming up with at least 1 out due to Diggs.

So glad we're giving him the extra AB's that come with that leadoff spot, as opposed to someone like Holt.

I missed this so I went back to watch.

A homer on an 0-2 juicy hanging curve.

A wild pitch after getting ahead 0-1 on a well-placed fastball, still getting the guy to 1-2 and barely staying alive with a foul before hitting him with the next pitch.

DVH didn't even say anything to him when he brought the hook.

I saw the homer in real time.  I don't think it's even landed yet.

That curve hung up there like it was on a tee.

It was the epitome of a batting practice meatball.

I will be surprised if we make it out of our regional.  Lackluster play down the stretch and a pervasive aura of "these games are meaningless" as an excuse for why we are losing.  Doesn't feel good. I know the past few weeks have been against the best possible opponents, but still.  This team is moving in the wrong direction at the wrong time.  I fear a repeat of last year where we draw a very hot #2 seed in the regional and pay for it.  I hope I'm wrong.

Texas is projected be to our #2.

Don't look now but they finished the season with 6 straight series wins. Not exactly what I want to see out of a #2 in our regional.

Hizog

I think we make it out of the regional IF we can win game 1 without Hagan. If we do, and Hagan can win game 2, then surely we take 1 out of 3 games against a team with little pitching left.

Supers are a different story. I don't see us doing well there without some luck.

This. We've got to pitch Wood or Molina in game 1, put up some runs and go easy on our pen, and then get a typical Hagen game in game 2.

The problem with this team is that they tend to play up or down offensively to the level of pitching we face.

I lost count of the number of times this season an opponent trotted out an underclassman pitcher with a 4.0+ ERA, and our lineup would promptly make them look like Greg Maddux.
