It's been a mainstay of the Bielema and Pittman eras, which are eerily similar.

The players don't learn these bad habits during games. It happens during the week and Pittman's teams have always had much quit in them.

How do you coach not to get hit on your arm when you throw or not catch a punt.

I don't get the kicker thing.  There are a metric shit ton of kids in NWA who can kick a soccer ball a quarter mile.  Can't we get some of them in college and have open tryouts?

I'm basing it on the fact that we're a team that finds ways to lose games. My evidence for that is the previous four hours.

Teach the other players to get out of the way on a fair catch maybe?

There was another fair catch earlier where one of our guys fell unblocked into Sategna, but he somehow held onto it.

You saw a team today that was so bad there is no way they can beat either Auburn and Missouri?

Damn   That sucks.

Once OK State adjusted to the read/RPO stuff our goose was cooked for much of the game. It did feel like whenever the game was tied up it was like Sam took the cuffs off Petrino and we were able to move the ball again. Not hitting on that wide open wheel was a killer among many other killers.

This team will probably get better if they can clean up the penalties and knucklehead plays I think there's a decent chance we win some games. I won't be surprised if/when Green gets killed that Singleton comes in and never leaves the starter role. Edit: We don't have a kicker and that's going to limit us in close games. You can't miss two field goals, pass on another because you have no confidence in the kicker.

Wasn't really focused on the offensive line to see who the weak link is...probably the center who was putting that ball on/near the ground most of the game. We don't have a center and we're a pistol/gun team mostly. Our tackles are money for the most part.

I also thought our lack of depth started to show as the game went on...coming out after half you can tell who's got the steam and who don't...we didn't get it back until late in the fourth where we started to wake up a big but the defense was over worked by then.

"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

You coach your damned team to make sure YOU NEVER have even the possibility of your own player interfering with the punt returner.  It happened twice today.  And there are about a dozen other idiotic things we did that well coached teams don't do.

Ok, I'll give you that. Still should have caught it though.

We are now 6-15 in one score games under Sam.
And one of the six was the Liberty Bowl where we let them score 15 points in under a minute to send it to OT.

Agree on the Green/Singleton point.

Sure.  I misread and thought you were talking about Sategna being hit when he muffed the punt.

Yeah. Very disappointed to think we may not have a kicker. But I wish Sam had let him kick on the fourth down in the first half when we went for it and didn't make it. I know he had missed one. But show some confidence and let him kick again

We lost this game because of turnovers.
We needed to get score something in the 3rd quarter to keep them down, we got shutout.

Tons of missed catches on good passes mixed in with WR's running wide open and not seen by the QB or balls thrown at their feet or behind them.

I don't get why you're running that last play with Hill anyway, or why he's the 2nd back.  Dubinion or even Russell would've been better for short yardage.

How many things were OSU not coached well to do to give up 650 yds. 31 pts, have their best player held to 50yds and get taken to OT by a poorly coached team?

Sam rarely seems to make the right decision in those situations.  It seems like he makes those decisions like one of us sitting on the couch, by the seat of his pants.

I don't care about OSU.  And you must be Sam's wife.  It's the real world.  You don't get brownie points for close losses.

We should have won that game by two touchdowns.
