No. I'm a realist and know that everything is not blamed directly on the coach. Sometimes players make plays. Sometimes they don't.Nothing Pittman did today caused us to lose. Players not making enough plays caused us to lose.

I agree with that but will defer to the coaches who have seen these guys practice for last two months. Dubinion is not one to break tackles and aside from being a "veteran" I'm not sure what he offers. Evidently they believe Hill is better. I don't think they wanted to put Russell in that situation given he hasn't played all game. We looked extremely thin at RB today vs last week where we worked in several guys. Kind of strange but I'm guessing pass pro is the reason.

We don't seem to run many of what are now traditional RPO's out of the gun...it's more like misdirection/cutback type plays that sometimes evolve into passes. We aren't just running right at anybody but when we did some pin/pull stuff it was there to be had with Jackson.

Don't know what the answer would have been on that 4th down but I might have tried to get Green on the run as a run/pass I think that's where he's best suited. Some kind of sprint out and try to leak a guy in the back of the endzone even.

We seemed to have a shit ton of wide open receivers a lot today and Green couldn't find them or something. If we can continue to get receivers open, we should get better if Green gets better. That throw in OT to the wide open receiver's feet sucked. He could have lobbed it out there and it would have been complete. I am not sure Singleton might be better.

Dumb play when you gotta know you can just keep driving the guy backward until the officials do make it obvious the play is dead. I never heard the whistle though live and it was pretty loud so I assume the player was just playing thru the whistle as they are trained to do.

We also had a kid push someone down after the play in that OT that they didn't call earlier in OT.

Lots of things to clean up and a great reason why you can't learn shit from playing the UAPB's of the world. The side argument to that is we played Cincy what last year or the year before, beat them and everyone thought we were hot shit. Ended up sucking.

I think we should stick to AAC, Sun Belt, MAC, and CUSA schools as non-cons and no more SWAC bullshit.

The line has to start picking up blitzes, and Green has to make quicker decisions, or he will take some major hits in conference play.

He's still two games over .500 for buy-out purposes (two under .500 overall), so it would take consecutive losses to Auburn, A&M, Tennessee and LSU after beating UAB next week.

In other words, possible but not likely, ASAP would be before Halloween.

As I recall under Petrino Mallett and Wilson were getting hit a lot in the chin but those guys were throwing darts down the field and completing a good many of those passes.

I'm guessing the back is supposed to stay in and chip the rusher and that was never happening. In other cases we just didn't have anyone there to account for a LB coming in hot and that's why we have to have sight adjustments and QB has to know where to go with the ball when he sees it.
