That said, may as well start looking now.  Season ended today, so let's start looking for the new staff.
Panic much?

Natty_Ice

what happened to the O-line in the 2nd half?  Did they go full reetart?
Things of that nature

We may hite a better HC but I'd expect a downgrade in coordinators. We have two pretty good one's.

Quote from: Bogey7 on Sep 07, 2024, 04:42 PMThe team before halftime is not the same team that played after halftime.

Been like that since Bert/Sam got here.

Dominate a half? Come out in the second flat and uninspired, and losem

Win a game? Spend the week believing your hype, come out flat, and lose.

Have a winning season? Squander your potential next year, lose inexplicable games, win upsets (that wouldn't be upsets if we hadn't lost the winnable ones), and frustrate everyone.

Actually, come to think of it, that was basically life under Dale too. Chad's tenure is forgotten.

The coordinator situation is great but you can't overcome a bad head coach unless you're Chizik or Ed O and luck yourself into a roster with generational talent for a year which will never happen to us.

We have a head coach on the sidelines. Give him the job, hire the best recruiters we can afford, and ask TWill if he thinks he'll be ready for the job one day in, say, 4 years.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Same.

The minute I saw their player hit the ground I was like "shit that's a flag" and it came out.

A game full of stupid derpy mistakes, that might have been the costliest.

Hire some defensive-minded guy on the condition that Petrino stays in charge of the offense.

Again, any head coaching candidate worth a shit is going to tell you to fuck off if you try to dictate what coaches they retain from the former staff.

It is, but I guess the silver lining, if there is one, is you can see BMFP's offense cooking. Stupid mistakes killed us. Like I said, I think I saw more open receivers in this game than I did all last year.
Well, shit...

If this was the game that gets Sam fired just hire Petrino. It's not like we could be any worse than we have the last 10 years. We'd have to scrape the bottom of the barrel again for a head coach if we do something else.

Good thing we don't go after head coaching candidates who are worth a shit

Anytime a team has a sure-fire win in OT, all they have to do is score, and they go all conservative (OSU should not have) and then miss the winning field goal, I have never seen that team go on to win the game in the next OT.  The rule is, the team that got a reprieve now has the momentum and wins in the next OT.

But we continue to be the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Did the propane run out in 2nd half?

That wheel route to Hill was a thing of beauty...right up until he dropped it.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

The made FG papered over it but the urgency and decision making on our 1 minute drill was ass. You ALWAYS have to be ready to snap the ball when the ref makes it ready. You can't be looking around and shifting players and letting the clock run when there's 30 seconds left in the game.

this. the play calling and online had no clue for their halftime defensive adjustments.

sure we popped a big play or two, but we ran into their defense time and again.

Trigger7672

Out of all of the infuriating shit that happened today, losing all of that time fucking around not spiking the ball might top the list. It won't be talked about because we ended up tying it there but can you imagine if the game clock runs out and the game ends there? We probably gave up another play or two because we're so dumb.
