Teams are struggling and this would have been a great win. The SEC looks down and we're down. We just stay the same year after year.

looking down would have been us getting run out of the stadium.

I'm not giving up on us.  We have some talent, and more discipline than last year, although not enough.

Go ahead and crawl into your deep cave of despair if you want;  I may be with you later in the season, but not now.
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

Trey Buddy's walk and talk was good.  He puts it on the team and Sam and Bobby.  Mostly on Sam.

It usually comes down to turnovers, injuries, penalties, special teams in close games.  We got our ass kicked in all four.  Q having a full body cramp is bad hydration monitoring.  They went into the half dominant and then came out and played sloppy and like they'd already won the fucking game, so just careless play.  A major character element of fucking Sam's teams.  Weak.  Fucking lack of ball awareness.  Stupid boneheaded penalties.  Game on the line and I'm putting a suplex on a dude.  Bench his ass.  Shitty kicker, muffed punts.

A football team no matter how good has to learn how to win.  Sam learned nothing at Georgia about it and this team couldn't handle a lead.

BMFP deserves some hits too.  Line up and spike the fucking ball.  Why men in motion?  Some questionable plays called.  Some questionable personnel decisions.

Should have won this game handily.  Sam is a loser.  That's the problem.  He goes so likely does the rest.  Bobby is a better OC.    But likely all new crew in 25.

Quote from: DirkPiggler on Sep 07, 2024, 05:38 PMThat wheel route to Hill was a thing of beauty...right up until he dropped it.

I think that was on both Green and Hill.

Obviously Green for throwing it at Hill's feet, but if Hill recognizes the underthrow and stops his route to catch the ball, he likely still gets a TD.

It won't be talked about because we ended up tying it there but can you imagine if the game clock runs out and the game ends there? We probably gave up another play or two because we're so dumb.

We wasted time on 2 spike plays because Green had zero situational awareness and was motioning receivers. So stupid.

The weird spike may be they looked at the defense pre-snap and he had Bobby in is ear up until the 15 count so maybe Bobby told him fuck it just spike the ball and we'll get a play in. That's my theory.
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

Tell me about it.

Quote from: Show-Me Hog on Sep 07, 2024, 05:47 PMThe made FG papered over it but the urgency and decision making on our 1 minute drill was ass. You ALWAYS have to be ready to snap the ball when the ref makes it ready. You can't be looking around and shifting players and letting the clock run when there's 30 seconds left in the game.

i agree. no way the qb puts his receiver in motion in that situation all on his own.

some of you just don't want to criticize petrino even when it's warranted

It's difficult for players to rebound after giving a win away like this. The first sign of adversity in games players quit. It's a natural reaction. We have years of examples of this.

All teams have to do to get back into games with us is go for long bomb after long bomb. That's literally how every team has beaten us since Bielema. It's very old and it is a preparation issue starting with the head coach.

Get to the line and spike it immediately, then you're not in a hurry and have some time to think about what you want to do. Downs aren't an issue at that point, the clock is. To me that's on Petrino.

The receiver wasn't in motion.

Green moved him from the right side to the left side in one of those "dude you're supposed to be on this side" moments. Normally, that would be the right thing for the QB to do, but SITUATIONAL AWARENESS.

Fuck what side he's supposed to be on. The CLOCK IS RUNNING and SPIKE THE FUCKING FOOTBALL.

Feral

Lost in the handwringing is the fact that our pass rush didn't piss a drop. Bowman had a clean pocket and all day to throw.

Because he's not a baller.  He's got the tools, hopefully he'll accept the lessons from the game and grow.

But... what's he growing for?  Does the development even matter if we go into next season with another coach and system?  I'd like to see him with a full season and another offseason of development under The Petrion but I got a feeling the program is going to shoot itself in both feet again.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Still think 3-9. This team needs to find an identity fast or what we suspect and seen today is just a repeat of past coaches rest on past success instead  of preparing for the next year.

Another long year awaits. SMFH. MRFGA.

Landon Jackson credited with 2 tackles on the day. There's your All-American.

They did say this OSU line was the most experienced O line ever. They had like 115 starts between them or something to that effect. Maybe they've each played 7 or 8 years like the QB. So maybe they're really good. Or maybe our D line sucked. Idk?

Just like every thing else with this athletic program. The league might be down, but we're always downer.

He's getting a lot of run out of a fluke game against Bama.

Not completely lost. This was during the third quarter...

Quote from: Thin Red Swine on Sep 07, 2024, 01:49 PMZero pressure. We still haven't solved that riddle.
