Waves in OBX we're no joke today. I have a nice rash on my nose from getting face planted by a wave while boogie boarding. I was told I look like Bobby Petrino post wreck now.
Still having a great time though. Tomorrow morning is golf with my son.

My kids live outside Shawnee, OK.  The farm & ranch store is an Atwood's. It's a glorious store.  If they just sold alcohol it would be perfect (bi mart in Oregon sells ammo and whiskey). Guns, troughs, baby ducks, recliners, whatever you need they hot it

There was a major one in the spring of 2020, I think Iowa took the brunt of it.  The reason I know about is that when Hurricane Laura hit us, all the major insurance carriers scrambled to find adjusters as most of their regular ones were up there handling claims.  The lack of experience of most of the folks they hired ultimately led to lots of homeowners having to hire private adjusters and sue their carrier.

That's where it was....super rare. But they had 2 in just a few years apart.

We had one a few years ago. It dropped a tornado about 200 yards from the house. I stepped outside to look, heard it and stepped my ass back inside. It had corridors of tornado type damage across three counties. We didn't have any trees come down but they did all around us. The yard was a carpet of pine boughs and limbs and leaves. They estimated 90 mph winds in different areas.
