It was 97 when we got to town Wednesday.  95 all day Thursday.  Friday was better with lower 80s. 

Hopefully we get to experience non Houston weather when we are back in September.

High today in this part of Maine was about 74 degrees.  Wind blowing pretty hard from the hurricane out at sea. Cold at times.

98 here today but it has dried out enough it will probably hit 100 again.  Then 81 tomorrow.  Not a bad summer at all.  This is early for a front to make it this far south.

Never been to Leadville so I am assuming it is pronounced led-ville.

However, assumptions can prove embarrassing, which you will quickly find out if you visit the town of Lead, South Dakota (about 5 miles SW of Deadwood) which is pronounced leed.

Of course, South Dakotans also pronounce their capital Pierre as peer so maybe they are just strange.
